I just finished watching the whole DBZ from start to finish 
Was a great ride imo.
Still pretty big here in Japan, last december a new series of action figures went out. Pretty badass. This series and the Rambo movies helped my decision to hit the gym.

I read the Dragonball comics and Dragonball z comics then when the cartoons came out in Ireland it was great. I always thought that the comics did a better job of the Frieza Saga. Especially the final Fight with Goku and Frieza.
Dragonball was brilliant as well. It was way funnier/cooler to see a child beat the crap out of all those expert martial artists. I also loved the way the Younger Goku was clueless about everything.
I watched the movie that just came out and it sucked balls. I don’t know why they didn’t try and base it off the comic/cartoon more closely. It’s like they wanted to do the Dragonball Piccolo saga but they also wanted to have the main character be in High School? Like WTF. It would have been way better if they stuck to the comic interpretation.
Wow. This thread brings back some memories lol. Dragonball Z will always have a special place in my heart.
