Dr. Says Levels are Good but Wondering if They're too High?

I just got my 4-month lab work back and my doctor said the levels all looked good and to keep doing what I’m doing. But after looking at the results myself, I’m wondering if things are a little high. I feel great and have no issues with anything at all. She said she likes Estradiol to be between 10-30 and that I could take an extra anastrozole every other week if I feel bloated or fluid shift.

Schedule:
Monday: 1 ML Test injected into Glutes
Tuesday: HGC 25 Units SQ
Wednesday: Anastrazole 1/2 of 1mg
Thursday: Nothing
Friday: Nothing
Saturday: HGC 25 Units SQ
Sunday: HGC 25 Units SQ

Pre-TRT Results Taken Monday Morning before taking Test:
TESTOSTERONE, TOTAL: 440
TESTOSTERONE, FREE: 85.6
ESTRADIOL: 32
HEMOGLOBIN: 15.4
HEMATOCRIT: 45.7

4-Month Results:
TESTOSTERONE, TOTAL: 1229
TESTOSTERONE, FREE: 322
ESTRADIOL: 37
HEMOGLOBIN: 15.4
HEMATOCRIT: 46.5

Dude. Then what is the problem?

That’s my thought as well. Hematocrit, hemoglobin are all in a healthy range and unless they get out of control then you are fine for the fact you feel good. When you’re not feeling well that’s when you have a problem.

You may want to consider injecting Test using an 29 gauge insulin syringe, I started out injecting into the glutes with a large 1.5 inch syringe.

It’s completely unnecessary and dangerous if you hit the sciatic nerve. I use 29 gauge insulin syringe and inject in shoulders and outer quads EOD rotating injection sites.

Also we prefer to take the anastrozole with our injections, anastrozole only prevents new estrogen from being converted, it doesn’t lower estrogen already produced. So by injecting testosterone and taking the AI days later you’ve missed the window of opportunity to suppress estrogen.

Joints will be popping and clicking if you keep estrogen near 10 pg/mL, keeping estrogen as low as 10 is bad for bone and joint health and can induce osteoporosis! Treat symptoms of high estrogen, not numbers on paper. Estrogen is a very necessary hormone and isn’t a waste product.

I would expect emotion and libido to be flat near 10 pg/mL. You need to concern yourself with proper testing, the LC/MS/MS E2 test is designed for men and any other test is invalid.

Did you by any chance get SHBG tested? If not you need to after 6 weeks of starting TRT, it’s key to injection frequency.

How much is your 1ml of test? 200mg/ml? I dunno, you may want to back it down very very slightly. You are currently exceeding the upper range of medical standards. As other said, if you feel good and your blood isn’t syrup you are probably ok.

I really only started wondering when I was looking at the lab results and saw them showing up as red with their recommended ranges listed. I just figured I would post here for a second opinion.

Got it. I’m new to all this and appreciate the response. Guess I’ll “stay the course” like the doc says.

The needle she has me using for the test is a 22G x 1".

Yes, 200 mg.

On what day was your blood drawn for the lab?

Monday morning before I injected the test so exactly a week from the previous injection.

So you are higher than the lab ranges. Ten years ago you may not have been. Just numbers based on what is average. Some guys feel great with a T of 2000 and some higher. If you feel good and there are no red flags in your labs and you are being monitored with labs then I wouldn’t be concerned. If you’re still concerned then drop your dose and see if you still feel good? If you do it could save you money through the years.

Thanks. I think I’ll be sticking with what I’m doing for now. Appreciate all the feedback from everyone.

People spend years trying to get to where your at. Just enjoy it! Don’t look for problems unless you feel like there is an issue.

Obviously keep an eye on things like HCT/HGB

Read up on risks for running a high free t.
Just read other thread in here. Same as you with hair growth/loss.
You may want your numbers where you don’t need an AI. Just putting out thoughts for you.

Age? T can increase igf.
I would monitor
Cbc
Lipid panel
Metabolic panel
Thyroid panel.
Need to make sure body can handle. If young probably less of a problem.

Thanks, I’ll look into those tests and some other threads. I’m 39.

Geez, you keeping using those harpoons and your butt will look like a used dart board after a while. Take systemlords advice and use a smaller gauge.
