So apparently the little twats are in a band or something called Clit 45. Reading the comment they and their legions of emo fans left are hilarious.

The best part. “He didn’t kick his ass! You couldn’t call that an ass kicking.”

He fucking one punched the guy, that’s WORSE than an ass kicking. I like how the guy gets back up and just keeps going, even while he’s holding his face. “And you’re in line to see a movie.”

Some of them confuse me:

I am amazed by what passes for “badass” nowadays. I wasn’t aware that leather, style of hair and clothing is what did it. Apparently, you can get your ass handed to you by a average sized Star Wars nerd and you are still a “badass”.

Who knew?

Funny thing about this line… I’ve never met someone from the inner city or place that is actually dangerous say such a thing. The line, “If you fight, you’ll get shot!” invariably comes from people too afraid to fight. It’s the way cowards rationalize their cowardice. “A true warrior runs away to live and fight another day.” Except, of course, that “another day” never comes.

I have been in a lot of fights - enough to know that the odds of getting cut or shot are really low. It’s all about knowing your environment. I would not, except in a life-or-death situation, fight someone with a 1% tattoo on his arm. I would not fight anyone if I were on 8 Mile Road. I would, however, gladly lay the smack down on a random douchebag without fear that he’d have a knife or gun.

Then again, I’m not a coward.

Please refer to the “Unwritten Rules of Men” thread. =D

That Emo prick should get si teeth kicked in and his nast little face broken. Thats the problem with youth these days,All bark and no bite.

That was brilliant.

The very last party that I went to a local basketball player for the university here in Fort Smith Arkansas got shot in the head by a 16 year old boy.

At least that is what I gathered from the events that transpired. An older guy was touching women innappropiately and this basketball player said something to him. The guy goes outside, gets some 16 year old kid to come back in and shoot him. I believe he is still alive, but not doing so well.

So please, there is plenty of risk involved in this day and age, even in freaking Arkansas. I only say this because it was an event that happened so close to me that it kind of opened my eyes a little bit.

Myself and my girlfriend were there along with many of our friends, and I guarantee you that any one of us would have said the same thing to the guy had we seen what he was doing. Which in turn would have resulted in myself or a friend of mine with with a gunshot wound to the head.

I’m not saying thats the norm, just realize that its a very real possibility. Even more real when it happens to you, or you witness it.

Hell yeah I think the guy deserved to get his face punched in, but realize there are a lot more faggot ass pussies out there with guns (or knives) than you probably want to know.

It’s not the same as it was when my dad was in highschool, when a fight was a fight, and that was it. You never know anymore…

You are 16. I will be nice. You are basing your life decisions on rumors. As someone who has had the occasion to investigate serious cases, I can tell you that basing things on “what you hear” or rumors is foolish.

Is getting shot a risk most people will ever face? No. It’s such a low risk that it is trivial.

Also, are these same people who cower away from every conflict because also refraining from engaging in other risky activities?

Don’t have sex without a condom, drive other than when absolutely necessary, or ride a roller coaster and then tell me that your “backing down” had anything to do with worrying about the guy packing. People do risky shit all of the time. But when doing something nominally risky actually takes balls, people somehow become cautious and prudent. I don’t buy it.

These people need to embrace their cowardice.

I agree, that is why intimidation will win out over how tough someone thinks they are with their BJJ moves on the street. I would much rather be in a position where most people would think twice before ever approaching me, rather than be the guy who looks like a target and always has to prove himself. The latter is more likely to get shot and robbed. That isn’t to discredit self defense either. I grew up around boxing. It just seems like many on this site seem to think larger lifters can’t fight. Not only can many throw a punch, but a fist coming from someone weighing over 250lbs with any knowledge at all about how to land one will do more damage than someone 100lbs smaller. The bigger guy will also be less likely to have to use it outside of drunk people at clubs.

I would be more worried about a George Foreman right cross than whether some 155lbs kid on this site who has seen the inside of a dojo twice lands one on my nose.

That beefy Star Wars guy had a good left hook.

Except Vince did it because he was high. And because he could make tens of millions of dollars by doing it. That’s ok in my book. The real travesty is the king of Crue doing the Chicken Dance. Sad day for metal.

I saw a dude get knifed in a bar fight in Oswego, NY 20 years ago.

The odds of it happening are low but you just don’t know.

It depends on where you are. The chances of you getting shot or stabbed in South Houston are probably 10 times greater than getting shot near Katy. Obviously, growing up in south Houston meant you simply took for granted that the other guy was strapped.

I would assume the same in New York or even LA even though I’ve never been to either. Again, that is why prevention wins out over how great you think you are at wrestling someone. I also know several people who got robbed simply because they looked like targets…like walking into a store on that side of town dressed like a yuppy from 1986 when they weighed all of 150lbs.

I think that is one reason most guys I grew up around lifted weights or at least were doing push ups on a nightly basis. That’s why I just don’t understand the current trend to look as much like a pussy as possible. I don’t believe for a second half of the BJJ or fighting bullshit that gets discussed on this forum.

I doubt most of them have actually fought anyone at all…ever, and definitely not in a street fight without rules.

Again, I agree with the sentiment. Totally. However, show me a guy who says, “He might be strapped, so I’ll let him get away with disrespecting my girlfriend/wife,” and I’ll show you a guy who engages in way riskier activities every day.

If you never have unprotected sex, you always wear your seat belt, you don’t ever drink to excess, etc., then I might believe that something other than cowardice is motivating the “Live to fight another day” mantra.

But when you weigh 150 lbs. and your other lifestyle choices have a “there’s no tomorrow” theme to them, spare me the bullshit when you let people get away with disrespecting you.

Long story short: Yes, interjecting yourself into dangerous situations and fighting isn’t a smart way to live one’s life. I do not recommend getting into fights. I am excessively polite in day-to-day life and seek to avoid trouble. (I also live an extremely risk-averse life and rarely even drive after dark due to drunk drivers on the road. I am much more afraid of drunk drivers than gun-packing trouble makers.)

But if you seem to live life in a bubble only when it comes to handling your business, do a gut check and ask yourself if you’re not a punk.
