Just because he is of the ghey doesn’t mean you need to pander to his wishes.

wow this thread really blew up… why dont people rip apart the SRC threads?

If you’re talking about the OP, yeah I feel you.
But if you’re talking about Nards, what he does is creepy as hell and completely different. I don’t regularly check the SRC thread, but I don’t think anyone there has done anything as weird as videotaping a woman or another man from behind while they exercise.
How would you feel if someone who looked like Nards [see first page of the thread- it’s really important that you see what he looks like] did that to you?
I did not see the picture that you speak of… I kinda just skimmed through the first two pages then picked up after that.
I know what you’re saying with it being kinda weird to video someone randomly but I have to admit that I have done it once before cause it was the weirdest thing I’d ever seen and I had to show someone else lol. Afterwards I realized it was weird to video it though lol
I know what you mean in that yes, it’s weird to record people in the gym, but the people that were making excuses for the people in the video about him perhaps rehabbing etc. whereas in the SRC thread it would be on edition 7.0 by now if someone came in to make excuses for every thing wacky we saw in the gym.
I too am wondering what picture LarryDavid was talking about.

Yeah guys, I’m sorry that this thread about douchebaggery at the gym turned out being about me.
I’ll go to Hell, but enjoy the videos if you like.
You are a douchebag in the gym. The thread is still completely on topic.
yeah, that’s the self-defecating joke I was making.
Do you mean self-deprecating, or is it a deliberate play on words? Either way, made me laugh.
It is creepy to secretly film people in a gym, but the results are still funny. I guess watching stuff like that is kind of like eating hot dogs - it’s best not to spoil the fun by thinking too much about how they got made.
Yeah, I was doing it on purpose. I try to be a guy with witty reports.
And that’s a great analogy with the hot dogs!

I was trying to do a funny portraying an image of you recording them while in your Halloween get up.
I guess our senses of humour don’t mix, based on me not getting your joke earlier and this. Unless that isn’t you in the pic [I assumed Louis was the dog and not your buddy], then I just ruined the joke. ![]()
^^hahahahaha yeah I guess I didnt get the joke reference. But I bet if you saw what I saw in the gym you would laugh too and want to share it
Oh wait, yeah, that’s me as Tintin. I forgot I posted that on the first page. That’s the way I dress every day though…just I usually don’t do that to my hair.
It seems a bit appropriate that this place should have threads about what other people are doing in the gym but I’ve seen these exact threads on every message board I’ve read from running to general nerd forums.
All I can conclude is every gym is full of people who are spending a lot of time looking and laughing at others. Not that I have any judgment of that but it does make me glad I work out in the privacy of my own home!
But in case you’re not aware, those others are laughing at you too so it’s all good ![]()
(For the record I haven’t stepped in a public gym since over 20 years so I’m just saying)

Tintin was a reporter so…carry on.
Alot of stupid shit goes on in my gym but yours takes the cake. How Not To Work Out, Part 3 is funny as hell.
For the record, I do single-legged leg curls with 20 lbs every week and I get crazy looks too. I even struggle and grunt sometimes. It’s a far cry from when I was doing the stack for 8 reps with both legs before I tore my knee last year. I have to admit I’d be pissed if someone video’d that and put it on youtube. But hypocritically I can’t help that I find your videos funny.
Looking around my commercial gym and thinking back I’ve never thought twice about people lifting lighter weight being due to injury etc. I guess what I see more of in my gym is bad posture and technique when performing lifts. I would like to help them but the society over here tends to be about saving “face” and being obnoxious so it makes me think “why bother”. My biggest issue is never this, it’s people displaying bad etiquette in the gym, being unhygienic, not sharing equipment or hogging equipment for the wrong reasons, socializing on an equipment and not using it - that’s the shit that pisses me off. I tend to be introverted to start with so the less people in the gym, the less people I need to ask for equipment the better. If possible I’d train in off peak hours to avoid all this.

Shit I had you pegged for 20 years old.
