When I first heard about it (on the Don and Mike Show and The Savage Nation) it sounded to me like the mullet sporting Dog had two choices:
a) Respect his son’s girlfriend when she is present by simply giving up the use of the N-word. Basically, just cleaning up his language when she’s around, that’s all.
b) Forbid his son from dating a black girl because there’s no way in hell him and his other dawgs are going to give up using the N-word for nobody. The N-word means so much to him and his fellow mullet-wearers that there’s no way they can give up the use of such a classy word.

He chose “b” and now he’s paying the price.
I take it in a different context. I think he found out she was trying to record stuff to make them look bad and told his son not to bring her around anymore. There is also some reference in the longer version of the transcript to him thinking the GF was going to ‘jump’ his wife.
A man should be able to say what he wants in teh privacy of his own home and he certainly shouldn’t have to worry about some floozy beating up on his wife.
The kid is a scumbag, it is not much of a stretch to think he was dating another scumbag.
Bottom line, sounds to me like he was trying to protect his family.

I see your point. The version I heard at first was only about one minute and I don’t think it contained the part about the girl trying to collect dirt on them or wanting to beat on his wife.
And also…I wonder how hyoooge this chick must be if she thought she was going to beat on the Dog’s wife???
Sensitivity over using “Nigger” has gotten WAY out of control, because it overlooks much more pressing issues.
Also, in one of those ironies of Life…“Dogg” has a very large and loyal following of VERY dedicated Black fans. (If you haven’t noticed, there hasn’t been a lot of protest against “Bad Ass D”; these moves have all been instigated by “A&E”…)
It’s felt that he was a major Dumbass for letting that weasel of a Son Blind Side him like that.
“Dogg” was felt to be WAY smarter than that…

Whatever gave this impression that Dogg was some kind of idiot genius anyways? The brilliant way he traps his bounties by paying off a relative or friend to tell them where his prey is? I hate that show and the only time I’ll watch it in passing is in the hopes that I get to see one of the so-called bounty hunters take a beating for trying to grab the wrong guy.
You would think that someone who uses stealth, TAPED CONVERSATIONS AND PHONE CALLS, and deception as their “modus operandi” would “know better”.
This may sound “sappy” and “Un-Dogg” like…but what comes across in the show is that he Loves his family.
I just don’t think that it even crossed his mind that his son would betray him for money.
Hope the blow job was worth it…

Gotcha, I guess there is a bit of irony in the way he was busted for this…hadn’t really thought of it from that side of things. I’m pretty sure it is against the law to tape record a conversation without telling the other person, but I’m no lawyer.

Okay, you’re a classless idiot if you say the word “nigger”. But, this guy just lost his TV show because he said this in a private conversation. It’s not an Imus situation where he was broadcasting his opinion to 5 million people. While the tape may have become public, it was said in private.
I honestly think your right to voice your opinion IN PRIVATE is far more important than another persons right not to be offended by it. Especially in light of the fact that he was not addressing this specific group in a public manner.
This is just a little scary to me. What happened to free speech?
By the way I never watch this show because I think the guy is an idiot. But even idiots can be in the right.
No, Screw him. He’s a racist piece of shit. Who cares if his punishment is excessive. It sends a good message about where us non-racists stand. If that’s what it takes then so be it. He ain’t the first guy on earth to be punished excessively and he damn sure won’t be the last.
FlavaDave wrote:
Every time I see his show or hear his name I immediately think of the South Park episode where Mrs. Dog is made up of nothing but tits.
The first I heard of this non-event was this morning on the radio someone read a transcript of his apology.
I was impressed by the fact that he actually apologized. These days no one will admit to anything, and if they are pushed by their lawyers, agents, or whatever to say something, they just make some meaningless, passive statement “I regret that very unfortunate things happened that I was in someway connected to.”
Dog actually said SORRY several times, said he understood how hurtful and offensive his words were, and that he was very disappointed in himself. That doesn’t make everything alright, but it shows to me that at least the man has some integrity.
As far as his punishment being too severe, well, of course he lost his job. That’s called life. You say something that gets overheard by the wrong person at the wrong time and you get fired. There’s no taking this out of context either. I don’t think anyone ought to use the “N” word, least of all white people, given the history of this country.
Who cares about the drama between him and his son? Family feuds are the family’s business and no one else’s.
Charge it to his head, not his heart. People like to see him busting people and acting tough, and talk about how he was an enforcer in a biker gang and was in the joint for a bit but when things get too real, everyone wants to stop playing and go home. His show is gone but it won’t hurt the bounty hunting. People in jail will always want to get out, they are the clients.
Plus the people he is around day in and day out don’t care about things like this. Too bad he never made any money at it. I think the fact the federal government was going to turn him over to Mexico to suck their dick a little is infinitely more appalling.

I agree. But the shit of it is that you can’t trust your own son in a private conversation. Regardless the patriot act has taken away our freedom of “private” phone conversations.
Free speech; it’s gone, the medium once used to express freedom of speech is now the medium used to condemn the people that still believe in freedom of speech.
I’m sure we have all heard of the media being the fourth branch.
who cares, i call people inapropriate names all the time and most of them are my closest friends.i dont cosider dog to be a role model in any way. if your kids are growing wishing they could be like the dog, you have some family issues.

Any one here a lawyer? I wonder what kind of legal recourse Dog has against his son. Isn’t it illegal to tape a phone conversation without both parties being aware?
I believe the law is that at least one party has to be aware the conversation is being tapped without a warrant (unless it’s suspected terrorism).
