I have been using DHEA recently, approx 25mg a day, to increase e2. (i have issues with low e2 on TRT, usually supplements, which lower it, such as vitamin D, melatonin, and tadalafil)
I do feel like the DHEA has increased my e2, but i have also noticed a large amount of my hair falling out. I have always had SOME shedding since being on TRT, but this is very accelerated. Does anyone have experience with labs (or otherwise) with what DHEA supplementation did for you? Did it increase your e2? Did it increase DHT? Side effects?
@highpull I know you have talked about DHEA before, any insights for me? Maybe i am taking too much?
Thanks for any responses.

I would not think 25mg would be too much, but do you know where that puts your levels? One way to find out is stop it.

@highpull So I have seen this chart before. Would it be safe to say that the only way DHEA could covert into DHT would be if it is in fact, increasing testosterone?
I had a few days of a tight scalp, and more hairs shedding than usual. But i also did a few days of front loading the DHEA, i did 100 for a few days, then 50 for a few days, then went down to 25. Maybe i just overloaded my system. Currently taking 10mg a day and i have noticed my hair/scalp feel more normal. I will get labs checked.
If it actually was affecting my hair, maybe it was because i took way too much there in the beginning. Thanks for the advice.
that doesnāt necessarily have to be from increase DHT, esp if it was for a day or two.
Was just my only thought since I did not change anything else with my protocol, and do not normally experience that feeling.
That is my understanding, yes.
