Does Anastrozole Remain Stable Dissolved in Alcohol?

I need to take a twice weekly dose of anastrozole equal to 1/8th of a mg, and as we all know, it is almost impossible to split the tiny 1mg pills accurately into this (or any) dose. I’ve read a little bit about being able to dissolve anastrozole into ethyl alcohol (sounds like 80 proof/40% vodka is ideal, so that’s what I intend to use), and then dose the liquid measured in a syringe. I have a few questions about this and I would appreciate anyone with the information taking the time to answer.

–Are we certain the anastrozole even remains stable in alcohol, and that it does not degrade or evaporate? If so, for how long? Should I store it in the refrigerator or at room temperature?

–I realize that I have to use a minimum amount of liquid in order to meet the minimum solubility properties of anastrozole, but on the opposite end of that spectrum, is there a maximum dilution I should make? I was thinking about using 8ml per 1mg pill. Do any problems arise when using too much liquid to dilute?

–My knowledge of chemistry and pharmaceuticals is nowhere near expert, is alcohol as a suspension for medications known to be stable in general?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Yes it does.

awesome, do you know for how long? and should I store it in the refrigerator?

It will be stable longer than you need it to be, no need to refrigerate, but it shouldn’t hurt it either.
