It’s Jon Andersen approved too! It is absolutely the sole reason I ever tried it, as I wrote it off as dumb the first time I saw it, haha.
I appreciate the food porn.
I first compared it to the peanut butter I got for my kids - 2g of Fat vs 15g, more fiber, less carbs, less sugar, more protein - but I also grabbed a jar of all natural peanut butter (just peanuts and water) to make sure I wasn’t being had, and the nutrition facts were even better than that - I got a pretty large container for 7.99 and it’s only 2 tbsp a serving, so I had 0 qualms purchasing it.
The temptation will be to mix it with EVERYTHING at this point, haha. It’s a good compliment to a lot of different foods.
Enjoying the foodporn here man. Really wishing I hadn’t done my food planning for the week now, a whole week of salmon and steak sounds amazing.
Fixed it for you. No need to thank me. Random acts of culinary sensibility are my thing.
I, and most of the culinary world, strongly agree to disagree ![]()

Yep, sorry bout that, salmon is meant to be a bit rare on the inside, as is tuna - it quickly turns too dry otherwise. When you touch it with a fork and the individual layers fall apart, you know it’s perfect, plus it’s nothing like sushi- you can’t even tell it’s rare, just melts in your mouth.
Definitely, but…
I actually like dry salmon and turkey ![]()
You realize profanity is in violation of forum community guidelines right ![]()

I believe you. Have you actually tried salmon the way I pictured it?
Your diet looks expensive.
But I’ve also spent $3500 on guns and ammo in the past three weeks…
A 3 lb piece of salmon is about 23-25 bucks, those steaks I can’t afford to eat often, haha. The turkey meatballs are super cheap too, and tasty, then I just buy tons of bags of frozen veggies. The salmon is probably the most expensive part, but totally worth it. I’m only an hour from the water too, so it’s very plentiful here.
Is that frozen salmon? Around here the decent stuff is expensive.

Today was really, really painful, just went through it. Forgot to start a timer yesterday but today hit 39:30 so I’m already sub 40 minutes and will continue to push PR’s for time. If it’s like last time I’ll hit my fastest time somewhere around workout 14-16 and then plateau after that, and hopefully bust out a big time PR on the last workout. I’m really taking it easy on the in-between exercises, as the extra work just detracts from the conditioning. That frees me up to do shoulder and chest pump work on my days off, just for hypertrophy’s sake - won’t do enough to tire myself out, and will likely use a thumbless grip on everything to not bother my grip. I’m experienced enough at this point to know that I can pretty much let everything slide in terms of volume and not take a hit in size with the drastic exception of my chest, since I’m so shoulder and arm dominant.
Hell no, fresh salmon, and wild too - not farmed. It’s cheap here. If you’re getting like the super expensive norwegian fillets it can run more, but for the wild fresh salmon it’s no more than 8 or 9 bucks a pound.
Whut? Please tell me this out of pocket expense is for your own leisurely shooting activities?
Short of a shotgun, I doubt I’ll need another gun besides my glock 17 for a long time. Zero interest in more. I suppose if they fell into my lap I wouldn’t mind, but my next purchase is a car.
I had an R-700 chambered for 30-06 with a Nikon Monarch scope and it was great. I sold it when I had my kids and just got a handgun instead.
I see. Cause if it were for your riot duties, man, that sucks having to spend out of your own pocket
