Dodgin’ Dadbods: Fortitude Training

It’s going to be mildly funny if this experience turns you into me in terms of appetite.

Nice!

Confession: I don’t like them with relish. Savory > sweet in this case.

Boilin the eggs to devil ‘em. Made a few extra in anticipation of the wife wanting some too.

By the way, I’m the king of perfect boiled eggs:

Wife wanted a few, had my 12 (6 whole). I use my family’s recipe, aka generic deviled eggs - mayo, yellow mustard, salt, pepper, paprika on top. Super heavy.

Slammed them down, barely breathing in between bites.

Try using curry powder too, and mashing the eggs up with some mayo or sour cream.

NICE! I have so many different types of curry powder, haha. I make an indian chicken and coconut curry, a thai lentil curry, an african peanut curry, you name it. Love the curry suggestion.

You haven’t noticed any feathers growing or random moo’s in the middle of a sentence have you? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Well, you have had more practice than most of us. And that’s just last week.

Late lunch: 2 burgers both over .5 lb because there’s very little meat left out of my 1.5lb daily quota, and about 1/3 of a container of mashed potatoes, plus a hot dog that one of my kids didn’t eat.

Bike ride got cancelled today, so I just played tag at the playground. It’s usually both my kids being it and having to sprint pretty much nonstop. Their endurance is crazy, I’m obviously fast enough to get away when I want but they just do not stop.
Lasted an hour, we all left sweaty and tired and they passed out in the car on the 10 minute trip to my wife’s job, meaning I can put them down when we get home and have a whole evening to ourselves.

Have .25 lbs of beef and 6 eggs to eat by midnight but had to indulge in some sushi.

9 pc sushi plus 6 pc California roll and 6 pc spicy tuna. Inhaled them. I’m pretty full, pushed the limit today but essentially kept it clean. All of my burgers are cooked in a hot pan with the fat drained repeatedly during cooking, and my eggs are cooked in EVOO. Buns are wheat. Overall it’s mostly protein, a good amount of fat, and not too many carbs.

Watched a show and was getting ready for bed before I realized I still had a quarter pound of beef and 6 eggs to eat :man_facepalming:

So cooked it up and shoved it down. Exhausted. Bed time.

I respect the consistent photos.

Damn Flap I don’t know what happend, I have missed out on your log since october.
The title of BtM caught my eye and I got back on track.
Well done on the eating, I can’t wait to see how the next 5 week will go.
What about triathlon still into it?

Yeah, very much so - just got the itch to do something new, and it’s looking like my first race isn’t til summer. I think, if this goes well, I can switch to a 2-days-a-week template and up the cardio. I’m actually gonna go swimming today.

@flappinit Have you tried shakshuka (alt. spelling shakshouka)? If I was going to eat as many eggs as you currently are that is a meal that I’d be cooking on repeat.

Also, if your wife wants salmon again, I can recommend cooking a salmon soup. Use two pots, one for the family and one for you and as you bring the water to a boil toss in one or two eggs for yourself in yours. Obviously, you could do this in the family pot also, but it is a bit “weird”. I have however treated others to this combo and they enjoy it.

If you have any glass lunchboxes that can take the oven, cracking them together with cheese and wok greens is an easy way to batch-prep a few lunches. 30-40 minutes on 225 degrees C (can be a hassle to wash, I usually run them in the dishwasher and handwash them quickly after as the eggs stick a little). Cheese, turkey ham, etc. all go nicely in that.

Don’t forget about pancakes. Speaking of pancakes, those thin ones are one thing but here in Sweden at least we have what is known as “ugnspannkaka”. There is no translation. But, it’s basically baked eggs with milk and flour. We put bacon in ours. Check it out. I found some recipes in English. They receive my stamp of approval as a Swede.

And, Bibimbap. Also a decent meal to hide a few eggs in.

Oh, and @timber you egg lover you. Check this post out.

Not a big fan of fish in soup, but the shakshouka seems like something I’d really like - might make that today, thanks man!
