Hey everyone, I was hoping there might be some people on here from Ontario that could give me recommendations for a decent doctor, whether it be a clinic or a Dr I can be referred to from my family Doctor.
Long story short the doctor I was seeing who first decided to treat my low testosterone left the clinic he was a part of to start his own practice a day before my appointment, the clinic gave me another doctor to see but the doctor they gave is only a normal Family doctor who is a young woman, my previous doctor was a internal medicine doctor who actually had experience and still made many questionable decisions so I’d rather see an actual doctor who specializes in TRT.
I looked around and was even willing to consider a TRT clinic but those who don’t have 8 month waiting lists or even full waiting lists wont see me because i am 22, they all specialize in men over 40 even though im already on TRT for valid reasons. My goal is hopefully I can get the doctor I will be seeing tomorrow to just renew my prescription for 3 months to give me time when I look for a new doctor. So far out of any doctors I have seen over the years all where unwilling to touch or care about my testosterone, expect one who since retired, and the rest have said my levels were “fine”, even when my levels where 9.8nmol/L if not for the doctor who retired and my current doctor who just left I wouldn’t have even imagine my levels being an issue. and my family doctor is extremely cautious and for example wouldn’t take over writing a prescription for lemborexant until I had my sleep specialist contact him asking him to take over prescribing it. On the bright side he has no issues with sending referrals. On a side note I even talked to a naturopathic doctor who specializes in hormones and while she can prescribe estrogen she cant prescribe testosterone in Ontario which i found very interesting but sadly cant help lol.
TLDR; in need of a doctor to continue my TRT treatment in Ontario , don’t mind clinic or through a doctor referral or even paying out of pocket any recommendations are greatly appreciated.
