Although I can understand why you and many of my fellow citizens may feel that way, I believe you are mistaken. I’m a pre-Buckley conservative and Trump; with the exception of immigration reflects little of the principles the movement was founded on.

Edit: the video starts off slow and boring. Cliff notes are that a fake study about rash cream is used to determine mathematical proficiency, and once established the same fake study data is applied to political topics. Mathematical brains with a capacity for objective logic begin skewing correct answers for biased beliefs. It’s interesting to watch identity politics form in real time.

Yes. I agree with Groucho Marx in that I don’t want to join any club that will have me as a member. I don’t need to believe something false to feel like part of a team. Plus, as a Sicilian, I was raised to believe that everyone is trying to get one over on you.
People listen to politicians but never ask them, “what’s in it for you?” And if you do, and they respond with tired old lines about patriotism, caring about the people, or any altruistic mumbo jumbo, they’re full of crap and they didn’t answer the question. They all have a personal agenda.

Looking at the German national team, I might disagree.
I thought completely different. Though everything is fictional, they are a representation of true sampling to make inferential conclusions. These sample sizes are fairly small to draw statistical assured practical conclusions.
The very first thing that needs done is see if the sample sizes are large enough show that they are statistically different. I would first run a 2-Proportions Test.
For the cream (Sample 1) there were 298 trials (N) of which 223 (improve) Events occurred.
For the placebo (Sample 2) there were 128 trials (N) of which 107 (improve) Events occurred.
Placing the summarized data in a 2-Proportion Test program:

Notice that the 95% Confidence Interval for Difference does not include zero (0). We are 95% confident that the proportions of the two samples are different.
Here we see that the P-Value of 0.034 is less than 0.05, therefore we choose the alternate hypothesis. They are statistically different proportions (or percent improvement)
That was the interesting portion of the video for me.
Yeah, it sets up the premise. They were essentially testing the ability to “reduce”, and then deduce. I found it interesting logic went completely out the window after topics centered on personal beliefs were introduced. It’s a 15 minute presentation of the bias we see in politics, and elsewhere. Completely devoid of logic by perfectly capable brains.

Nope, most countries do the majority of things in a backwards way.
And the problems lie much more within human psychology than philosophy or theology or one side being less dumb or smarter than the other.

I am as close to totally unbiased when I am presented with data as anyone you will cross paths with.
I taught Six Sigma the final years of my employment. I had a high bar for acceptance of the Measure Phase of the DMAIC process. When I am presented with data the first thing I am asking is for an MSA (Measurement System Analysis) study. It must be the precisely the same measurement method throughout the test. Every measurement system has variation in ideal conditions. Mixing measurement systems makes results highly questionable and totally rejected for any Six Sigma project.
Bozos on all medias NEVER ask for MSA studies. The most they can do is say, “Do the math.” I just conclude that they nothing about mathematics.

Humans should stop looking to gubmit and politicians to solve tell them what to do.
