Do You Need to Cycle Fenugreek?

Is fenugreek ok to take without cycling? There are supposed to be testosterone supporting properties so this is why I’m asking.

no…fenugreek is a plant. commonly eaten as food in India. Cycling it would be akin to cycling Broccoli

good point!

That is a horrible rationale.

It will most likely be taken by the OP in capsule form, hence in a VERY concentrated form versus how it is normally consumed in its natural state. Thus, its impact on your physiology should be much more pronounced and ‘artificial’ due to an artificially increased rate of consumption.

There are plenty of natural herbs and supplements that require cycling. Why would their being natural necessarily negate the need to cycle?

Yes

Sure fenugreek is a common food in India, but at which daily dosage?

How long to stay on/off?

Well be more specific…

Are you eating the herb itself ??

Are you eating the ground extracts ?

Are you taking it in capsule form ??

If so what dosage…

I mean honestly, you can’t just say do i cycle it, we are NOT mind readers

Sorry all.
I guess you’re right. I’ve just always figured that the only supps you need to cycle are ones that mess with thyroid or hormone functions in a direct manner.
Also, to me fenugreek is like spinach or kale, i.e. normal every leafy green. But I guess thats just a product of my experience growing up.

i mean cycle it in general. and the obvious answer to the above would be capsule form. i take 1200mg at each meal. (kinda going off fenuplex) I have 6 meals a day. It might seem like a lot but it’s not pure 4-hydroxyisoleucine, like that found in ReceptorMax. Also, there nothing that says cycle RM. Thoughts?

From an old Cy Willson article here:

Fenugreek

While this supplement has been around for some time, certain people in the industry are trying to make this out to be something it’s not. They claim it may act in the same manner as tribulus and will raise Testosterone and will even increase appetite to boot!

So, what’s the truth? Fenugreek hasn’t been shown to increase Testosterone levels and even worse, can inhibit T3 production! Ah! Not only this, but the fact that it increases appetite isn’t an impressive feat. Why? Well, it increases insulin levels, causing hypoglycemia. So, as a result, you start to get hunger cravings in order to raise blood glucose once again. Furthermore, this increased insulin secretion can lead to an increase in fat storage. Throw this out! I can say, however, that Fenugreek is better than Fenuswede or Fenupole.

I don’t know what to think. When I take it I get a lot harder/leaner.

Now to make it MORE confusing:

From Poliquin Performance Centre. He uses it in his Insulin Modulation Program… hhhmmm anyone got any new info ?

Yeah, I was going off the dosage that’s in Fenuplex. I know CT takes/took it for his insulin protocol.

all i know is im gonna cycle my broccoli for some sweet gains.

jokes aside…the reason you feel harder and leaner is that it helps regulate blood sugar, thereby improving insulin management.
This benefit stops when you don’t take it anymore. I don’t think the body can get used to a micro-nutrient profile to the point that it stops being effective.
Kinda like chromium’s effects don’t diminish over time.
