You guys must be a real hit at pool parties.
I drink tons of tap water. The water here has a high chlorine count. The water comes out of a reservoir which I live right beside the lake and water treatment center. My two cents is if you drink coffee or fountain drinks your getting tap water with it. I hope my 3 days a week of vigorous exercise is protecting my body from harmful contaminants!!! I hope y’all feel GREAT TODAY!!!
I buy 7, 1 gallon jugs of water on Sundays.
Tap water = Ew
Ha ha excellent!
I don’t worry about contaminates, I just go by taste. I grew up on the SF Bay Area Peninsula and the water taste great there. For the 11 years I lived in Southern California I drank only filtered or bottled water because I couldn’t stand that shit they serve down there. If I had to drink water out of the tap it had to be super cold for me to get it down.
Now i live in Eastern Washington. The water taste great here and I have no need to mess with filtering or buying water. In general, my opinion is anything east of the Rocky’s sucks as does anything south of the Bay Area. My options on where to live in the world are very limited.
Btw, the water in Southern California has improved since I first showed up in the mid '80’s. I had this girlfriend who lived in Cypress. She would serve me a glass of liquid at her condo with a big warm smile that seemed to say “here this is water, we drink it”. My facial expression no doubt said “if this is water why does it have all this white crap floating around in it?” Seriously, there was some kind of white precipitate swirling around in the water. No the glasses were not dirty.
At least now when I’m down there to visit the water is clear. It still tastes like shit but there’s not stuff floating around.
When my brother lived in San Diego he said if you didn’t use filtered or bottled water you’d kill a coffee maker within months.
In some areas around here the water is very sulphery. It all depends on the geology.
