Do You Drink Alcohol

This video is pretty stupid and pointless. I could say all those same thing he is but I’m not going to make a video with me smashing some 40s.

All that crap people said to him (supposedly) must have really upset him if he had to make this dumb video.

I’ve seen the effects of alcoholism but I’m not going to smash 3 40s and think that’s going to solve anything.

have you every posted pics? I’m not being a douche, I just assumed you were pretty big as you seem knowledgeable
lol, no worries man. I didn’t take it as such.

Na I’ve never posted pics. Funnily enough I don’t own a single photograph of anything, and I’ve never even owned a camera.

Maybe my lack of pics will mean that people won’t listen to me or take anything I say seriously. That’s fine, I can live with that.

I’m 5’ 11" sitting at 195lbs and lean enough for good definition in abs and serratus. Not huge by any means but I’m proud of what I’ve done considering I was 9 and a half stone (about 135lbs I think) when I started lifting. I have a very small bone structure so I get told I’m lighter than I look, but I dunno about that.

I wonder if I’ve just opened myself up to a mega flaming! Lol.
haha no worries, you sound juicy at that weight/height. Unless you want to remain super anonymous I think it’s always helpful when people like you post pics/logs/etc

juicy? Lol, that’s the first time I’ve ever been called that by another guy on the internet

Yeah I guess I probably should post some pics, I’m a bit of a perfectionist though and don’t like the idea of posting pics of the unfinished article. Kinda like letting someone see a painting before you finish it, y’know?

I’m planning on doing a pretty hardcore bulking cycle in the summer which should get me to the size I’m after, then I’m going to hire a coach for my first ever cut. When I do that, I’ll post pictures of the bulk, then pictures of the results of the cut. Just for you BD I’ll even make a log out of it.

I guess I’ll need to buy a camera first though…

hahaha I look forward to it! and this is why I’ll never pass a background check for any job : /

Interesting how zraw’s post was glossed over.

To the OP, instead of giving up fun altogether in favour of goal pursuit, consider perhaps swapping the medium conventionally used for one which can indeed kill two birds

^ooh a new person with a good physique

hahahaha Am I the only one that thinks “Mr Walkaway” is Bonez new account haha?

I used to drink a lot when I was younger but luckily I quit. To stop drinking you need some alternatives to alcohol. Something that will relax you as much as alcohol. I found this alternative in a sport. After hitting the gym regularly + stop drinking I started to feel myself like a new person. Recommend everybody to try to find the replacement for alcohol!

appreciate the 5 year bump here, so many great posters in this thread!

Nothing wrong with having a few drinks in moderation but you’re a good man. Props to you.

Yes, I most definitely like to have a few, currently enjoying a rum and coke actually. No complaints here.

I had a frozen watermelon margarita yesterday at a Mexican restaurant… it was wonderful.

When I was younger I drank primarily to get drunk, now I drink because I enjoy it.

I’ve never drank alcohol recreationally. I’ve tried drinking small amounts of red wine before, for the “health benefits” (experiment). But never had a beer, liquor etc. It’s slightly awkward in social settings (not so frequent), most people don’t seem to “get it” (especially since i’m going on 36 lol, everyone seems to drink). If they persist I just tell them to fuck off. I’ve always just stayed away from it. TBH, glad I did. I have a pretty addictive personality so, better for me to stay away from things that are addictive. I don’t think i’ll “start” any time soon either, doesn’t excite/entice me.

After these running races, one of the main attractions is beer. It also gets more people to come out to the race. The “beer line” is pretty massive. It’s cool i’m not knocking it. If it was a “ice cream milkshake line” i’d be all over that though.

That’s one I’ve never understood. Drinking a beer after running a race would be an express ticket to vomit town for me.

Lol - I’ve got a low tolerance normally but even a single beer at the end of a prep knocks me a little.

Carbs, plus alcohol relaxes the muscles.

That’s interesting. I still drink occasionally, but not nearly as frequently or in the amounts I did in my 20’s. There was a LOT more of an expectation to have a drink in my hand when I was younger than there is now, particularly in college. I remember there were 2 guys in my fraternity who didn’t drink at all, and it was a source of constant amazement.

These days, there’s pretty much no expectation that I drink at social events. Nobody is even likely to notice that I don’t have a drink in my hand if I happen to not be drinking on a particular night. I do come across a lot of people who assume I only eat like chicken and broccoli and never drink alcohol, so I suppose my appearance is also affecting how these social situations go, lol.

Hah, chicken & broccoli, because eating only that will get you swole af!

Ya it’s interesting about how there’s pretty much no expectation for you now etc, no pressure. The social settings I referenced were mostly with co-workers and such (at a large nerdy startup). In the co-worker setting, it was primarily men egging me on to drink, but it could be different with “nerds”, they “party” weird - lots of intense juvenile stuff even with older folks. Other than that, it seems to be mostly women who “insist” I drink etc, and find it odd that I don’t - on the rare occasion I socialize. lol.

pc!

I didn’t even think about co-worker settings. That doesn’t exist in my world. I’ve only got 1 employee I see outside of work, and that’s because I train with him. My brother’s a tech guy, and I know at his last job they had a keg in their office.
