Do i have natural bodybuilding potential?

I’m 19 years old, I’ve been working out for 1 year and 7 months, and I’m wondering if I have some potential. I just have upper body pictures :(, im gonna try uploading some lower body too later.

Measures: 5’10.5" (179 cm), 176 lbs (80 kg), around 14% body fat (maybe a bit higher, not sure)

Great results in such a short time period!

The potential seems obvious.

Add me to the list of people who think you have good potential

Do you mean for stage competition? Anybody can lift and we all have potential. You’re off to a good start. I’m curious to see if you can hold definition/separation when you gain some mass. I’d also focus on abdominal training as it appears to be lacking compared to your overall BF level. Either way you’re doing great so keep it up!

Not the best photos but it will do it.

Compared to my upper body, I have a hard time making them look leaner, it’s definitely something I need to improve.

Not at the moment, but its something that i want for the future.

Im still adding size, so maybe in 2 or 3 years.

I actually have a bit of a rib flare, which can make my abs look less defined, but yeah, it’s definitely a weaker point in my physique. I’ll be focusing more on improving that area.

I might place your legs ahead of your upper body.

why do you think so?

I will jump on the band wagon and say yes

There is good balance with your upper leg and lower leg.
Your thigh is developing both quads and hamstrings. Many people have lagging hamstrings.

Lower body definition is just so-so, but your upper body lacks a hardness too. Your upper body has some balance (symmetry) issues. Those should improve as you add more muscle.

Yes. Get a coach and do what he says religiously. Diet, training, everything.

If you touch PEDS, watch for gyno. You look prone to it.

Start a log, id follow along.

I’ve noticed my symmetry issues as well, mainly in my lats and mid traps.

My poor posture impacts the way my back works, which is why one side is bigger.

But ive been working on it, and it was much worse back then. Thanks for letting me now.

Absolutely, I’m looking forward to starting with a coach soon.

Haha got it, I’ll keep an eye out for gyno. Only gonna use PEDS if I actually have the potential to compete professionally.

I believe you do, but id like to see you do this for 5 years and be 25 before starting.

If you’ve got real potential, you’ll know before then.
