Dizzy/Flu symptoms on Ultima Test Prop – Is it the oil, the ester, or just me?

Hey everyone, looking for some insight on a weird reaction I’m having with Test Prop.

I’ve been running Ultima Test Prop and keep hitting a wall with side effects. Every time I inject, I get hit with significant dizziness, brain fog, and blurred vision that starts shortly after the pin and lasts about 24–36 hours. By the 48-hour mark, I feel “super fine,” but since I’m now pinning daily (because I’ve been a high aromatiser in the past), I’m basically stuck in a loop of feeling like crap. Had full-on “test flu” symptoms the first two weeks.

Current Protocol: Tried 10mg ED for a week, bumped to 15mg ED, even tried a 35mg bolus yesterday. Same dizziness.

Previously did 150mg/week (subq) and 250mg/week (IM). My levels were >1700 ng/dl with E2 at 80 ng/dl (on 12.5mg Aromasin/week). Doctors said I was a high aromatiser despite having low body fat.

Stats: Currently 84kg (~185 lbs) at 12% BF. Heavy runner.

Vitals: BP is on the lower side (100/80 to 110/80), RHR is 58–61 bpm.

Gear: Ultima Prop, expired June 2025 (kept sealed/dark), looks fluorescent yellow. No PIP, no redness, no lumps at the subq injection site.

Symptoms: It honestly feels like a mild allergic reaction or a blood sugar/blood pressure drop. I feel tired and dizzy, but sugar/eating and training actually make me feel better. Laying down helps too. No spicy nipples, so I don’t think it’s an E2 spike.

My Theories:

  1. Carrier Oil/Solvents: I know Ultima often uses MCT or Grapeseed, but the fluorescent color has me wondering about the guaiacol or high solvent content used to keep Prop in suspension.

  2. Degradation: The gear is technically expired. Could oxidative stress or oil rancidity be causing a systemic inflammatory response?

Questions:

A) Has anyone else had dizziness/vision fog specifically from Ultima Prop or high-solvent short esters?

B) Does the fluorescent yellow color sound normal for this brand?

C) If I’m looking to switch to a “cleaner” carrier oil to rule out an allergy, which brands/oils are generally the “gold standard” for sensitive systems?

Thinking about having a buddy test the batch or just swapping back to Enanthate/Cypionate to see if it clears up. Any advice is appreciated.

Edit: I switched with IM instead of SubQ today. Increased the dosage from 30mg to 60mg to see what’s up. Don’t feel any lethargy so far and it’s been 10 hours now. I guess IM is superior when it comes to solvent tolerance despite the convenience of SubQ. Don’t know how to manage steady levels on Test Prop though. I guess I’ll have to switch to shallow IM and rotate injection sites aggressively everyday or switch esters. Damn I just love the high peaks test prop provides, the dopamine surge is insane and the test concentration is higher at its peak than with the same amount of gear compared to another ester. Idk if enanthate, cypionate or undecanoate would be better suited for a high cruise cycle.
