Indeed, which gets to the truth of what “conspiracy theory” seems to mean to most.
The story has all but disappeared…
I didn’t watch the video but I listened to his podcast covering the topic, which played the audio of the Disney executives.
Shapiro’s concern, which I generally share, is that the leaked Disney meeting displays 100 percent clear intent by Disney to dramatically increase the depictions of LGBTQ characters in their content. Shapiro therefore feels the need to screen new content made by Disney to make sure it is in line with the values he wishes to impart to his children, whereas he did not screen Disney content before learning this. This is a very reasonable and common concern among parents.
I am not homophobic in the least and have never had a problem training BJJ with any of the gay, bi or trans people who end up on the mats. I do, however, have a lot of concerns about what sort of values are being imparted to children both through the broader culture and specifically in public schools.
My concern is that we are already seeing the effects of “woke lite” being taught to the last couple of generations. We now have a statistically impossible prevalence of gender dysphoria among younger and younger populations. Young people are pursuing life-altering medical treatments because of the many incentives presented to young people to adopt this identity and lifestyle. This does not pan out well in the long term, with horrific numbers of suicide and broader mental illness and we’re just starting to really understand this.
One of the Disney executives apparently has two children, one trans and one pansexual. If I didn’t know better, I’d guess she’s raising them that way. That’s between her and her kids, but most people don’t want to raise their children in a way that encourages lifestyles that aren’t likely to lead to the sort of long-term outcomes parents might have in mind for their kids. Like getting married and having kids of their own, for instance.
Therein lies much of the problem when you’re talking about very malleable and vulnerable children and adolescents. Nearly all of us struggled through puberty and high school, but now you go online and “learn” that your normal teenage angst and confusion means you were somehow assigned the wrong sex at birth.
I can’t think of any other way that exists today for a loner teenager who may be struggling with normal teenage struggles to be guaranteed a tremendous outpouring of new friends, new support, popularity and all of the attention for being special most teenagers crave. You get special protections at school, at college and you get the right to demand special treatment from other people and get upset when you don’t get it.
If I get back into child-rearing I will not want to show young children programming that glamorizes a lifestyle I will be actively steering them away from.
If they end up gay as an adult, fine, but they’ll need to arrive at that understanding of themselves without any early-age encouragement from me.
I agree with Shapiro’s take on this. This is not about the kids. Early age indoctrination into LGBTQ lifestyles is about the adults seeking validation for their behavior and performing yet another leftist social experiment on a vulnerable population. The rabid mischaracterization and rather baffling opposition to the “Don’t say gay” bill in Florida demonstrates the importance they place on introducing these lifestyles to kids at as young of an age as possible.
You don’t need to hate on gay or trans people to not want it for your kids.
To close, I’ll present this clip from one of my favorite movies. Released in 2002, it pokes fun of the idea that backwards rednecks like the main character believe that there is a secret gay agenda conspiracy.
It turns out that the backwards homophobic rednecks being parodied in that film called this particular one right. The numbers don’t lie and I believe that the Disney executives I listened to this morning were telling the truth about their intentions.
Enjoy the scene.
Imo, really well written, and I agree with everything you say. I have personal N=1 confirmation of exactly the type of cluster fcuk result you describe.
Unfortunately, we appear to diverge on our appreciation of humor…so, exit only 'bro.
Run Ronnie Run isn’t for everyone.
Much like raising your children to be gay or trans.
Even if you are shy and a social misfit with few friends, coming out or expressing gender issues on Facebook/social media can apparently transform you into one of the cool kids overnight.
Fun fact -from what I understand, the gov’t in SF (or maybe the Bay area in general I’m not sure) is obligated to pay for gender altering treatments. Free! to be not me.
I’ve experienced one whitey situation like this, but I have not personally experienced this from the white adjacent, yet.
I think Dave Chappelle said it best:
“The only reason people care about the trans community is because white men are doing it.”
I usually disagree with the whole “because white people” narrative, but just like the term “Latinx”, this invention has white people written all over it.
It gives you guys (sarcasm, not saying you) a reason to act like they are oppressed. Because everyone wants to be.
I think Dave Chapelle also said something about gay white dudes being down with black people and “the struggle” until they get into an altercation, in which case they bring their whiteness up by threatening to call the police. Something like that. It was funny when he said it, haha.
I think that’s a big part of it. I also think that’s a big part of why so many white people who live their lives in accordance with conservative principles are so eager to signal their support of people who they consider oppressed. You know, #BLM, even though it says right on their website that they oppose fundamental values that got my sister-in-law ahead in life.
From a political perspective, it really helps when you can invent new kinds of oppression to fill in whatever gaps there may be in the Tent of Oppression’s coverage. That’s a big part of the game that the Dems have been playing for quite some time now. Expanding this tent also has the potential to rope in more sympathizers of the people who we now understand are oppressed.
It is especially helpful when a person can become oppressed by simple declaration, as white men now can, and do. The great thing about the trans movement, if my goal is to create more people who consider themselves oppressed and look to Democrats for answers to this, is that it requires no real commitment. I, me, can simply declare myself trans, changing nothing else about me, and probably qualify for some women-owned business government contract prioritization in more than a few American jurisdictions. Or win the NCAA Women’s swimming championship, making a big leap from 452’nd best dude to bestest woman swimmer ever.
It’s time for me to begin living my truth by identifying as a person (xhey/xhux pronouns, please) who gets priority for government contracts. Don’t you dare question my identity, bigot!
In light of this conversation, i no longer consider myself “white”.
I now demand to be referred to as an Aboriginal European and henceforth proclaim my people as “oppressed”!
I think they completely recognize what your last sentence says, and they hate non-whites(and less-successful whites) enough to try and keep them from figuring out how to get ahead. Call me crazy.
The question is sort of rhetorical, really. I know why. It’s the banality of evil and there is a strong push to normalize pedophilia. This is the result of that plan in action. There have been more than a few leftists, who have tried to change the language around pedophilia, “understand” the feelings associated, etc. If they can sexualize children, then nothing is off limits to them. They will have a whole generation of sexual slaves to gratify their every desire, if they succeed in pushing the crap they push.
People have to stop this crap about ‘protecting minority groups’ at the expense of the majority. Who’s protecting the majority? And the individual is the ultimate minority, let’s protect that.
@pat Well, the book I hinted at is hundreds of pages. So he went into great detail.
More people have classifiied me as “Viking” than “white” (mostly due to hair, but I guess I also have Viking proportions, long torso and short legs). Perhaps Viking is a subset of white, but Viking has to be a very small group at this point. It is like me, Jón Páll Sigmarsson (RIP), Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, the Amon Amarth band and a few others I am sure.
I think we even get protected hair styles.
I am sure it is. Is my paraphrasing correct, of what he said?
A part of it. It is a multifaceted topic. As I did, I recommend Dr. Stephen Baskerville too.
Nah. The Latinks came up with that term on their own.
Oh bullshit… Man I hate that term. If you call me ‘latinx’ I will be “offended”. and I will walk up to you, slap the shit out of you and then receive the one trophy I wanted all my life and get a standing ovation…
But seriously, nobody ask us when leftist honkeys decide to name us supposedly ‘non-offensive’ terms.
It’s at that moment, you realize the left’s actual racism. One of them being, they come up with new things to call you, without your consent, label you that and if you don’t like it, you’re a ‘white supremacist’, facist, etc. The good news is the ‘latinx’ folks in this country (because it’s not a community, never has been), seem to be turning on the democrats.
I suspect these insane leftists in the government currently, are going to move full steam ahead and ram as much of their insane nonsense down our throats before November because they believe they are going to get trounced. Now I am not convinced of that, because stupidity exists in vast quantities. However, if it does happen, I will happily take the ‘W’ and then bitch how the republicans don’t do anything and have no balls whatsoever.
I have a TON of Hispanic friends and family, and they all HATE the term Latinx.
Hmm…maybe you’re not a real Latink.
Edit:
I suggest they find a Progressive, white person who will show them how to empower themselves through forcing others to do things that do nothing to improve the life of anyone.
2nd Edit:
I missed this earlier, but it’s completely true:
Exactly. In fact, it was separate countries. The creation of the U.S. itself was supposed to be more a military/free trade agreement than anything.
