Disney is Cheap

It recycles its cartoons.

I don’t know why that really bothers me, but it does.

Ahh, the Disney factory.

I love the Robin Hood movie, but fuck the jungle book, always hated the disney version of it.

I was hit by a car when I was 14, I spent a week in the hospital. I remember after the third day I tried to watch TV. The Jungle Book was playing on one of the channels, I tried watching it but I kept getting nauseous. Really weird.

BLASPHEMY

Who cares? I reuse code when I’m programming all the time. If you have something already in place that will accomplish exactly what you need it to do of course you’re not gonna redesign an entirely new one.

Programming and cartoons are very different things.

Not surprising. If you look at the history of art, for several hundred years the European art academia borrowed poses from Greek antiquity.

Renaissance and Baroque art was like one long re-run!

My childhood is dead.

Cookie monster, Disney, all whores.

my youtube isnt working

but recently we had to do an ambiguity paper for psych class, write a pro and con paper for the same subject

after that we had to write another paper based on on what our ACTUAL stance was

so i just used my pro paper again and added a couple extra things to it from the prof’s corrections.

one slight mixup was that i didnt know she wanted it in business letter format so i got the comment “not sure how this is a business letter but its well written” i got a 90. it pays to recycle.

I reuse jokes too, if I’m speaking to someone who hasn’t heard a particular quip of mine. My point is nobody is going to do unnecessary work when something is already available that will accomplish what they need it to.

Usually when I think of something clever about 3 or 4 groups of people hear it.

Oh god you dont know do you ?? Im about to crush your childhood:

Cookie monster now eats “healthy foods” as well, as cookies are only “sometimes food”

n 2006, in response to growing concerns about record levels of childhood obesity in the U.S.A., Sesame Street began airing segments entitled Healthy Habits for Life. In these segments, the Muppet characters of Sesame Street talk about healthy habits, such as eating properly and exercising. The Healthy Habits for Life segments spawned false Internet rumors that Cookie Monster’s name had been changed to Veggie Monster or would be taken off the show entirely.[2][3]

In a 2007 appearance on Martha Stewart’s TV program, Cookie Monster explained his new philosophy that “Cookies are a sometime food.”

On February 10, 2008, NPR host Elizabeth Blair interviewed Cookie Monster for the All Things Considered segment In Character. He answered the Proust Questionnaire, as well as revealing some of his favorite and non-favorite things.[2][4]

In a June 19, 2008, appearance on The Colbert Report, Cookie Monster again explained that “Cookies are a sometimes food.” He also attempted to eat Stephen Colbert’s Peabody Award. Colbert had asked agitatedly why Cookie Monster had “abandoned the pro-cookie agenda” and thus caused fruit to become the favorite snack of American children, according to a study Colbert had heard. Colbert criticized Cookie Monster for not wearing a cookie lapel pin. Cookie Monster also claimed to have “crazy times” during the '70s and '80s. He also referred to himself as “the Robert Downey Jr. of cookies.” After eating a cookie to prove he still likes cookies, Cookie Monster asked if the Peabody Award, a round medallion on a small pedestal, was a cookie. When Colbert returned to speak to Cookie Monster at the end of the show, the award had disappeared and Cookie Monster was wiping his mouth with a napkin.

Me and plenty others apparently care. And Disney aside, the video was edited nicely to be interesting on its own.

On a related note, it’s a good argument to slash copyright down a notch. I can’t help but think the Disney crew would have gotten more creative had they not enjoyed state-sponsored monopoly.

You sir, you are a smart motherfucker.

Well done, well done.

Next time i go home to see the family I am totally stealing our VHS copy of Disney’s Robin Hood.

I will also have to swipe a VCR.

I go to an Art Institute (of Houston to be exact) do you know long and tedious the process is to actually draw out frame-by-frame animation? Granted im not an animator but the way they describe is that if they didnt reuse some of the cels, theyd fucking go crazy from drawing every little action. Speed Racer, anyone?

On a Similar note,I really like this clip.

So happy they never re-used this. It was classic.
