I have no idea if this is an actual genre, but there is a an astonishing array of electronic/synth/indie dance music out these days that tips its hat to the funky good times of the discotheques of yore. And I, for one, am all for it. Life is too short not to wiggle while a sweet sweet bassline pumps pure sex into your ears.
