Diet plan/ contest prep

Hello my name is Knight, I am currently getting ready for a body building show in August but am a bit stumped. Right now I can’t estimate what bf I’m at but also don’t wanna run into lower weight just to get shredded. what can I do to make my physique overall better diet wise, I hit a minimum of 10k steps per day. I also do cardio sometimes on top of that for a bit, any advice would help current cals are as follows. 1920 cals 180gs pro, 160 grams carbs, 50 gs of fat

Stats are

5’7

164.4 as of today

Based on these pics what class should I compete in for my upcoming show?, I don’t wanna be out of place by any means. I’m not the leanest but plan on fixing my diet, to maximize fullness instead of being depleted

Hello , I am currently running 500 mgs of test, alongside 500 primo, I also take 50 mgs of anavar a day, I also take clen @ 80 mcgs a day. I cycle orals on the weekends to give the liver a break ( or so I hope so ) I know these pills are liver toxic but I’ve been running them pretty well. No blood work, RIP

I merged your 3 topics into 1.

Thanks Man !

Just to satisfy my curiosity… how long have you been lifting consistently? How long you been running gear?

You can compete in whatever division you’d like but I would maybe say men’s physique. As for Bodyfat probably about 20%. I would definitely start your deficit/diet states now so you have plenty of time to get lean.

I have actually been lifting for a bit under a year, I went through a divorce and my life fell apart lmao. But I got locked up and went straight into bodybuilding. It’s been non stop from there, I have tried multiple times before to build a physique but never had the drive. Until I started administering test myself is when my physique changed. I was living a super unhealthy lifestyle at the the time, it keeps me accountable. Quit drugs, got my support system, and I’m ready for this journey.

Thanks man! I appreciate the advice will keep the cut going!

Ok all I needed… thanks for the info.

It Will allow others to give more informative information.

In future posts please include units. It helps to remove ambiguity. On one of the threads you started I thought that you stated that you are 5’10” tall. Is that true?

Are you 57 years old?

Thats a red flag…

He has not. All of his threads have been merged here.

Okay

That is not much evidence of the dedication to become a competitive Bodybuilder.

  • How tall are you?
  • How old are you?
  • How much weight can you Bench Press for 5 reps?
  • How much weight can you Squat for 5 reps?

I am 5 foot and 7 inches tall, I am 24 years of age turning 25 here soon. Max I can bench for 5 reps is 205 (poverty) depends on energy levels. I’ve had one rep max’s but we won’t count those here. My max squat is a bit weird because I hate the movement in general I stick to machines. I can put atleast 600+ on it. I understand the notion to think it’s not enough time to even consider it, but it’s just a goal and not something that I plan on winning first time around. I want the experience, bulk up in the offseason correctly and use it as I do. This is only gonna be a testament to myself of my dedication to get onto that stage.

Being 5’7" and not having to deal with the long legs that comes with being taller, e.g., 6’0" and taller; I would say Bodybuilding or Classic and choosing a Novice division if one is offered.

Have you ever attended a Bodybuilding contest? You would get quite a good introductory look if you watched the Pre-judging. That IS the competition.

Your pics show fairly good muscle separation for so little muscle mass. Your back looks particularly lean. Your chest, shoulders, and arms are lagging a lot. You need much more mass there.

I believe that the experience is a good idea. The first contest I entered I came in 15th place out of 15 competitors.

That’s good to hear as I plan on doing both, I want to do atleast two classes just to see how it goes and hopefully get a better placement for the next class due to nerves/anxiety/ etc. I am by no means trying to become a mass monster but appreciate the advice and will incorporate it into my training from here on out. I have never been to a competition , I most likely will look into that myself.

Most likely you will be the only one not “trying” to become a mass monster.

Very true ! We’ll just have to see! Im pretty confident.
