You did a fine job of explaining it. I don’t think anyone here is relating “laziness” to those who have illnesses that limit their lifestyles like what your mom has gone through. You seem to be doing a great job dealing with this. I do believe that this thread is about those who are not on medication like corticosteroids (like your mom is no doubt) and simply eat their way to obesity. For many, it is common knowledge that the drugs that keep the body from rejecting the transplant can increase the amount of fat and water deposited. Couple this with decreased mobility and you have the situation you described. Sadly, this is not the case with the average obese peron you see riding a scooter around Walmart.
