Got my shipment from a new TRT clinic today. Little surprised though when I saw it was compounded with DHEA. There are 10mg of DHEA per 200mg Test-C in each ml. With my daily injections this will be 0.9mg DHEA and 18mg Test-C (my current dose)
Seems like with that small of a dose it shouldn’t matter much either way. If anything it seems to help a lot of people due to it being suppressed on TRT. Going to get my DHEA-S labs tomorrow morning just for a baseline.
Looked around on the forums but did not really find a great answer. Really should not be much of an issue correct?
These clinics do this so they can charge extra, maybe you don’t need DHEA and you body is producing plenty. This TRT clinic seems like it cares more about $$$$. It doesn’t seem like this clinic communicates very well.
So let me get this right, they prescribed DHEA and then ordered the DHEA test?
No it is actually a work around. The corrupt FDA has big pharma in their pocket so states are making laws that you cannot compound the same exact formulation as a manufactured brand. So pharmacies put a very small amount of something in it to make it different.
Ridiculous that here in America you cannot just get generic made medication. Soon a lot of pharmacies will be doing this or something like it, it started in CA of course and now other states will follow suit to keep their donors happy of course.
So to the OP, no that amount of DHEA is not going to do anything.

Ok, this make a lot more sense.
Thank You

The other option is to put vitamin B in it but I am glad the pharmacies are not doing that because it can exacerbate HCT problems.
It’s amazing they are able to do this even though patents ran out a long time ago.
I don’t trust the FDA and I never will.

Yea exactly I could understand if it was some new med to treat something we cannot treat already, to make money for research, yea that makes sense. But not on T
Pharmacies cannot make Testosterone Decanoate which is so silly, I wish they could cause thats what I would use and I would inject every 10-14 days.
Most people will benefit from 10 to 25mg DHEA per day.
I also started taking 10mg, feel more energy and generally a bit better. And my DHEA - S is definetely not low

When I was talking about the FDA cracking down, I was referring to pre-loaded syringes. I see guys with DHEA over the ranges and this guy doesn’t even have any DHEA testing which seems reckless.

So the dosage is 10mg of DHEA per 200mg of Test. Maybe that is reckless but the dosage is so low I can’t believe it will make any difference. Are you suggesting 10mg of DHEA per week (its actually less than that as i am doing 125mg/week test) is going to move labs more than just day to to day variance in levels?
Most on here are talking about 25mg+ a day, my script only has 0.9mg day infused. Reckless?

If this is the pattern of this clinic to prescribe something without lab testing, then yes it is reckless no matter how much is prescribed in my opinion. I have seen on countless occasions T-cypionate being infused with anastrozole when there is no lab testing to prove there is a need.
There was a guy recently who came here not knowing why he was feeling bad the last couple of months, he didn’t even know that there was anastrozole infused with his T-cypionate and I had him look at the bottle for signs it’s been infused with anastrozole.
This poor guy has had his estrogen low for almost 2 years and now is unable to elevate estrogen to a normal level even after stopping the AI infused T-cypionate all so that they are complying with the FDA regulations and this way big pharma profits are protected.
This business of infusing T-cypionate has the potential to cause harm to those that don’t need it especially to a person with levels already over the ranges. If your DHEA is over the ranges, it would just cause more side effects.
Taking DHEA does have side effects just from taking it, just like any other supplement.
It’s not enough to do anything. Meaningless, not reckless. The starting dosage for oral is 25mg per day.
At 10mg per week that comes to 1.42 mg per day.
Also test is gonna shut down your adrenals, so your going to need it anyway.
