Wow i saw the notifications for this thread and was excited to see some valuable info. Instead there is this meaningless argument. Why?
Again… This thread contradicts with everything on this forum and all TRT vets reading it should tell us how their adrenals are keeping up after years of TRT without HCG…
@increasemyt - I have a serious question I tagged you in. I sincerely what to hear your thoughts on the question. If you don’t mind, could you take a look please?
Rite now I take HCG 500I.U every other day. So are you saying for the most part this should fix most of my adrenal issues. I’m asking because I know your the person who could teach me
@zsub154
If it does its going to take 12 weeks before you feel better. He stated you normally feel worse initially.
I’m curious if that is why a lot of people say HCG just made them feel horrible and does nothing for them. I would guess a lot that say that, quit taking it before they would have benefited.
It goes for just about everything hormone related. You have to give it enough time to know if it works or not. It only took me a year to understand this but I’m a quick learner.
@increasemyt How fast does HCG increase DHEA-S?
After many years of having several undiagnosed tickborn infections, my DHEA-S levels are only 20…
I have been in treatment for a while now and my infections are starting to go away. Some of my symptoms have improved a lot or gone away completely, however, some haven’t improved at all, mainly chronic fatigue and zero libido. Do you think it is possibly that some of these symptoms are due to my extremely low DHEA-S values and that HCG + DHEA could improve it?

HCG failed to fix my low cortisol. Very disappointing. I had no choice but to start taking Hydrocortisone at 20mg a day spaced out every 3-4 hours. I really did not want to but I tried absolutely everything under the sun to fix this and sunk hours and hours of research into these issues before resorting to this. This immediately destroyed all of my symptoms and has allowed me to function again. Doctors were absolutely no help. Ive been on the hydro for about 14 months and I see no evidence to suggest my adrenals have been suppressed but we will see. I am going to get with a TRT clinic soon and see if they can help as I intend to taper off the hydrocortisone if possible when the time is right. As of now I have absolutely no answer regarding what caused this in the first place, only theories.
How much time after starting HCG should we see a change in serum DHEAs levels ?
I would like to actually see proof of HCG back filling anything other than making T/E2 higher.
I have never once in 10 years seen a single person on any forum produce before and after labs showing HCG backfilling adrenal hormones without supplementing preg/dhea directly. Ever.
I’ve asked for it on every forum I’ve belonged to and eventually gave up.
Dr saya told me he’s never seen it in the doses used for trt, only in the doses women use for fertility.
Dr crisler, who promoted the idea initially to the TRT world, still supplemented dhea and pregnenolone to his patients alongside hcg, despite claiming hcg would do the trick.
Same here dude. Bunch of people repeat the whole backfill hypothesis but never produce the goods when asked to.
