Demigod before 35 (Aldebaran)

Ahahah I love children, I work with them, but first I need to find the girl :stuck_out_tongue:

I should clarify, I don’t have kids. I just dress like I do more often than not now haha.

Ahahah in that case you have to clarify what is dad clothes!

Haha things like: running sneakers, cargo shorts, t shirts with a breast pocket, etc.

I’ll be dead before wearing this! Like, I’ve never worn flip-flops even thought I live in the south of France. Though I have a couple of nice shirts with a pocket ahahah

Conjugate Bodybuilding - Day 4 - 24/07

So this took a whole 2 hours. This doesn’t look like much but it was brutal. I’m adding carbs intra next workout. Honestly I could have just gone home after the 3 first exercises and be happy

First time getting back to o-lifts. of course it isn’t great ahah. And I was already agssed afterwards. Didn’t helped that I was sick yesterday til midnight.

Tried back some low bar squats. Felt meeeh but that’s predictable after a eyar of high bar

Stayed light on the deadlift, getting used back to the exercise and rep range (ughhhhh so many reps). Yeah it for sure is way tougher than sets of 10 curls… Really I was really fatigued afterwards.

4 sets of rdl with 4 secs eccentric oh God… My lower back didn’t want no part of this. only puny 30 kgs DBs, when in the emadows program I was doing dropsets with the 50 ahahah… Don’t underestimate exercise order and slow eccentrics.

On the jumps I felt powerful, fast and far though. But damn this was super long and super hard. My body demands calories

What have you got against flip flops?!

Nothing in particular, but I don’t like them at all on me. Like hats. I’m more the chino and shirt guy. Yeah I’m a fricking snob

Do you like the bands to lose all the tension at the bottom? I feel like that would throw me off. Definitely didn’t mess you up on the video

Just speculating as I never did those, but I suspect that if the right weight is used, you shouldn’t experience that issue as the bottom of the movement is the naturally harder part, so you’re counteracting the lesser tension from the bands by being in a more mechanically disadvantageous position.

Lesser tension for sure, but having it fall off completely and then catch again on my way up feels (hypothetically in my brain while I watch) jarring

Yeah I didn’t notice the bands were completely loose at the beginning of the reps. That probably feels a little weird, but maybe the tension at the very beginning of the lengthening of the bands is so small that you still feel it increasing smoothly. I imagine this would be worse with a stronger band, whose tension at the beginning is still significant as opposed to no tension at all.

I’ll have to give these a shot someday.

I like banded lifts. I’m a wuss, so I prefer reverse-band

I only ever really tried banded machine chest presses. They felt okay. And I got weird looks.

I personally can’t stand flip flops purely because my feet feel so unprotected. Running, jumping, kicking, etc…I don’t feel prepared to do any of those things (not that I often have to, haha) if wearing flip flops.

That’s the primary benefit

Has Steven Segal taught you nothing??

Unfortunately, no. He was before my time and one of the only action stars I never got into. Did he wear flip flops?

Honestly I now can’t think of any time I saw him in flip flops. He just looks like he would. He also looks like he smells

Haha, he does. His whole vibe kinda throws me off, it’s why I never got into his movies.

Reverse banded lifts feel so, so good on my joints, and give the highest resistance at peak contraction. For long term hypertrophy purposes I’d choose them over regular banded. That’s just the sissy wannabe bodybuilder in me.
