Demigod before 35 (Aldebaran)

Colossus wrap-up @samul @TrainForPain

Sorry if my thoughts are not organized I’m waking up from my pre working out nap

I did the 6 days a week version (well unless the lasts two weeks because I was too drunk :s )

It was just amazing. Great experience. This is why I like to test different kind of training, so that you can pick up what works for you and doesn’t (plus expanding knowledge for coaching ahahah)

I had zero trouble recovering despite sleep and nutrition being in the gutter so yeah. Sure some big soreness the first week, and at some workout like week 6 leg heavy. But nothign creally crippling. Apart for my lwoer back at some point.

Two things there then:
• my lower back is my hardest aprt to recover
• I probably have sacrificed some form for more reps or weight (on deads here)

So this tells me: I should go lighter on big lifts and keep my form pristine.

CT told me I could handle volume when he was coaching me. For sure it has shown me I can, and I have to train more, and harder than I think I had to if I want to grow! Stop skipping the accessories and abs etc. That is, if I train smart. Everyone has a volume threshold.

Loved the exercise sequencing, it reaaaally makes a whole difference. The pumps I got were just INSANE. And I’m not dissing push-ups again. I mean I knew they were good, but I’ll do some again

Anyway, I have gained strength, and I’m pretty sure I’ve gained muscle. Realistically not much, but if it’s even 300 gr I’m stocked! Noticeably bigger/sharper arms, abs, legs in general. Chest also looks much wider!

So yeah, an amazing experience that I will do again with proper modalities. Remember, the first 3 weeks I was still depressed, the last two I was drinking myself to oblivion, partying, and eating my face off (not proud that two days ago I ate a whole pint of Haagen Dazs in my bed watching Rick and Morty)

I’ve gained weight obviously, a good deal of fat with it, that I’m planning to shed, starting right now. Here are some pics from today, 20 mins ago

Welcome to my standard eating plan!

Nah seriously good write up, Meadows plans are clearly solid and well loved, I tried and there were some great take away points but man I hate bodybuilding style training haha.

Looking good though and definitely ditch the drinking! (Or at least get some moderation going on) - kill the excuses, or the excuses will kill you. (I know I’m over using this on the forums haha).

Does your family just hate mirrors or what is the deal with that.

I feel you but I love that I was still able to lift heavy and go apeshit

Yeah definitely will have to slow down. But at least I had fun ahah no regrets

But damn I’m having a hard time at today’s session

Who doesn’t hate mirrors? I hate mirrors, the lying bastards.

Excellent work @aldebaran, but seriously though, can we start you a GoFundMe for that mirror? We could buy you a new towel while we’re at it.

I would chip in at least 5 dollars towards a new mirror and a less aggressively colored towel which is for sure not red.

There are many words I think of when I look at that towel, but “aggressive” absolutely isn’t one of them. This isn’t a towel that Jocko Willink is taking to war. This is a towel that Mavis is using to clear up some spilt tea.

But you would agree that it is aggressively not the color red, right?

The movie “Mirrors” legit traumatized me as a kid ahahah

@dagill2 what’s with the towel ahahah? My favourite pair of shorts is actually pink.

Conjugate bodybuilding - Day 1 - 20/07/20

Alright. This doesn’t seems much. But God damn it was hardcore! The heat and the fact that you have a mask didn’t help for sure, I was soaked and panting ahahah. This session was a pure lower back destroyer

Didn’t went too heavy on the squats, had not squat for 3 weeks and I want to keep a perfect form. Satisfied enough, and my elbows/biceps are super sore right now.

140 was the right weight for the deads, had good sensation in the lats. Not planing on increasing the weight, just trying to feel more the lats.

The extensions right after the swings (hardstyle) were humbling. But I was nott rying to go too crazy. the fact that I had to go for 4 rounds was challenging mentally, and I dind’t want to bust a nut.

Shrugs weren’t that hard. Deadlifted them to practice the lift. Next time I’ll use 180 and do power shrugs from the racks (hell yeeaaaah)

During the 110 Zercher I clenched my fist so hard I cut my flesh open with my thumb ahahahah

Good session, I can see this being tough and forcing growth for sure. My traps and shoulders will be huge

Great work, man!

Your fat is my lean… and we have the same diet!

Thanks but yeah I’m stopping this diet before I balloon up I’m aiming for a few less pounds :stuck_out_tongue:

I’d ask you the same question.

My garage gym towel is actually an old barbie pink bath towel that I stole from my better half. I’m just running out of things to slam you for to make myself feel better.

Meeeh today I trained with a friend, 19, junior Europe’s champion Men Physique, squatted 180 kgs for 3 the other day for fun (he never squatted over 120 before that). 95kgs of pure muscles, I was spotting him for his 120 kgs bench with like 60 secs rests lol

And he was training with a girl for funsies that was just jaw dropping.

Sooooo why didn’t we chose the right parents???

My biceps and forearms are so soore from the zercher squats and back ectensions ughhh

Here’s my goals, and how I am going to proceed to reach them. I have to keep this everytime before I eat or lift.

• Conditioning: my three sessions will do the trick. No skipping them and no going too hard either.

• Big lifts: go lighter, keep technique perfect and less overall ego

• Assistance: work harder, heavier, and no skipping!

• Diet: keeping it clean and in a slight deficit to compensate for the weekend inevitable excess. No binging.

• Alcohol: no drinking unless a special occasion and less drinking in general

• Changing some stuff in the program : I don’t want to frankenstein it, so not too much. It’s super heavy on shoulder exercises so I’ll swap one for a chest one. Only rows so I’ll swap one for a vertical pull. Probably the Pendlays that I never liked. Adding some abs and calves as well

Unconventional but what’s the worst that could happen

Honestly, I’ve spent 7 month prior to that where I drank perhaps 3 times, and not much gains happened. Then these last 6 weeks have been chaotic and lots of gained happened. Coincidence???
