Demigod before 35 (Aldebaran)

I completely understand where you come from. But honestly, you know, during the week, there’s literally nothing it would alter, being stricter. I’m either working alone or bored at home so… ahah. On the weekends, it wouldn’t change that much.

I’ve been eating a least one cheat meal a day, plus drinking, and little sleeping for two-three weeks. And I don’t look that bad, I guess because I move a lot, and in the end, I’m not eating that much calories.

I truly believe, that it wouldn’t take me much effort, right now, just to be stricter and 2-3 kgs leaner.

Like you said, indeed I guess this is an outlet. And perhaps I’ll change later. I think I’m too much of a hedonist for that.

But yeah, if I can do it, “shoot for the stars”, why shouldn’t do it, for a while at least? The older I get, the harder It’ll be. I could do some pretty good photos ahah. I mean I feel I have some potential, if I wasn’t having a Mike Mentzer diet, to have a really good physique for a while.

And indeed, you look better, more muscular and leaner. I hope than later I’ll be as well!

Colossus - Leg pump

A. Lying leg curl 3 x 8 with 45 kgs

B. Close stance leg press 2 x 20 with 100, 110 kgs

C. Nordic ham curls 3 x 6

D. DB RDL 1 x 10 + 7 + 8 drop set with 50, 40, 30 kgs DBs

E. Standing calf raises 2 x 10 + 15 partials + 30 secs stretch

Nice fast session. Satisfied with the machine leg press, strength is coming up, and I had a great burn.

The RDLs were really tough, my forearms were toasted for 5 mins afterwards. Calves were OK, I wasn’t really focused, 110 provided a better burn, but really it was better standing on a step than on the plate.

Tonight, we feast! The thirties are welcoming me with a warm embrace. I was offered an awesome barbecue, and we arranged the garden. This is gonna be great.

So in the end, I was ripped-ish before 30. Not bad. Last pics from today. Yeah I’m a fashion victim

That’s plenty ripped man. Welcome to the 30 club.

Yes, now you can get all fat and lazy like the rest of us slobs.

Speak for yourself.

I work very hard to be this fat.

Nice. The pink shorts and ripped-ness remind me of JCVD in Double Impact (the LA one not the HK one).

By my estimates, ten years on average.

I’m guessing five if we count people that don’t make it to their 40s…? Math.

In my fourties I’ll probably hop on TRT and try to be as Mark Wahlbergesque as I can be.

Today I ate McDonalds, and tonight a huge French tacos and then a pint of Ben and Jerry. I feel really gross, and my stomach is about to burst. I wonder how can some people eat like that everyday.

Anyway, let’s work and get what I want now. I have a shoot friday. Thought it was going to be with my friend, but it will be his boss actually. And in a studio. This is scaring and exciting. Looking forward to it!

Colossus - Back heavy

Really good session. Despite the festivities I was really happy with my strength levels.

100 kgs on the rows were really fine but then 110 after 4 reps I had trouble pulling all the way up, but I put my arms in too close with the straps, and they failed before my back

Used straps as well for the one arm rows because last time it failed first as well. It proved way easier and I felt my back really good.

Nothing much to say that it felt really good. No rack pulls, my lower back is in top shape. I’ll remember that yeah it’s RPE 10, BUT I had not deadlifted like that in months, nor tthat heavy, and rack pulls are a new exercise, especially focusing on the lats. So to keep it light rather than going hams. Straining my lower back is not worth the 10% extra on that exercise.

I have gained weight. I think last week’s events and food had their toll. I put on my shirt today and it was noticeably shorter. But I only wash at cold. So yeah my mom said I’m bigger. Arms are really thicker. I also did more than usual during lockdown.

Went into this program expecting nothing. I had really lots of struggle improving my strength over the years. But last year focusing on BB netted some good gains. Maybe I’m more made for this kind of training. Maybe it’s just that I stopped worrying about numbers, range of reps, percentages… Like on the curls. 2 sets of 15. But the first I did 19. Because it’s RPE 10. Fuck it! I would have used heavier, on the second set I would have been toasted. Anyway I really feel bigger. Here’s my back, and you have to trust me, it looks bigger and more defined in real life. Looked so thicc I wanted to cut a slab and eat it.

Shoot is on thursday actually. Gonna be eating in a deficit, vertical-diet style for 2 days, more carbs, less fats. Then stay in a very slight deficit. Lose a bit of fluff and gain more definition. Because I’m doing all of this for the aesthetics right now. After this program I’ll have to throw conditioning and maybe o-lifts in the mix. So it will be hypertrophy and conditioning. Which does not go along. But it is not really long endurance training. I will be tested for an event that will last 15 to 20 mins. I have to be efficient during that time. I don’t know yet what king of training I’ll be doing.

Are there warm up or build up sets or do you just get after it with two all out sets once you’re warm? I imagine there are more sets on the first exercise or two, but is it really just what you write out? It looks short and to the point.

Of course, but we don’t really count warm-up right ahah?

I thoroughly warm-up on the first exercise, then 1 or 2 feeder sets on the following exercises. Unless it’s bench, squat or deadlift, then it’s more 3 sets

I usually warm-up as per described. Sometimes it’s high sets like 15 or 20. But on back day nothing precise.

Colossus - Push heavy

This morning, I woke up with a good mood. Even… happy? And I don’t know why. Didn’t even sleep that well. But I felt that way, and I was wondering why.

Then this afternoon I thought about it. I’m alive, in top health, I’m young, i’m free, I have no debt, I can do whatever I want, and if I work hard I can get what I want. So why not be happy? I always knew these things things I don’t know but it had not clicked. Maybe it’s the thirties loool. But I don’t know, I feel calmer, and confident. I just have to work hard, and I’ll get what I want. I reflected about Pwn’s article and yeah this is what happened these last two years. I did many things in the past, but not for a while. I was too scared probably. Not anymore anyway.

Good session again. Incline is hard for me. So yeah 38 kgs was too heavy. My chest feel wider and I’m happy because it’s like my worst bodypart.

Was nice benching again, but the bench here sucks compared to the other gym, and the bar feels thinner and super rigid. So I felt like I had less stability/balance, but the strength was here. Especially as a second exercise so I’m not complaining.

On the flyes once again tried to contract and feel the chest as much as possible rather than doing the movement plainly. It reeally makes a big difference in feel and burn, and I’m sure of it, results.

Good feeling with the shoulders and triceps work as well. Nothing to complain. Excited for tomorrow’s session, going to try the trap-bar

Oven is broken, so I grilled my chicken using my brand new BBQ

I’m being invited to 3 events this weekend. I’m not going to complain lol. And I’m gonna go. I’ll just lose fat a bit slower, I don’t care

Colossus - Legs heavy

Ok so I just realized I fucked up and did week 5 session. But that’s okay, I’ll do week 4 next week. The first 3 and the calves exercises are exactly the same so that’s not a big deal.

It doesn’t look like much but this was a brutal session (even though I dread the 56 rep leg extension per leg next week). It’s super hot and humid here.

First time doing seated leg curls. Really liked these. Better than the lying ones for the slow eccentrics.

Did the deadlift second instead of first because the leg press was hogged. But that’s okay because they both are the same kind of exercise (lifting explosively). This is the weirdest trap-bar ever. Using the fat grip could do some serious grip work. I’m not sure it can hold up with a lot of weight, because the weight don’t actually touch the ground, only the structure. Anyway, it’s said not to use back. I know I did. I went really hard at these. Next week I’ll use the same weight and just use less back.

The leg press still feels amazing. The abaility to go all out on legs and not having your or what failing first… Hmmmm

Went a bit light on the lunges but the burn was good.

No bands again so I just did regular good mornings, with high reps to failure.

Shoot tomorrow. i gained a bit of weight but I don’t care. i’m feeling good in my boots, and confident. I’ll shed some fat after Colossus. No big deal.

Here, no broken mirror this way!

Colossus - Pull pump

A. Pronated cable rows 2 x 10 with 75 kgs

B. Seal rows 2 x 10 with 30 kgs DBs

C. Barbell pull-overs 3 x 12 with 30 kgs

D. Good mornings 2 x 25 with 50 kgs

E. Supinated DB curls 2 x 15 with 14 kgs DBs

F. Preacher curls 2 x 8 with 30 kgs

G. V-ups 3 x max

Good session, around 45 mins. Not a big fan of the pronated stuff, I usually feel more arms than back.

Liked the BB pullovers, good feeling in the lats, and at the third set my tris were torched as well ahahah

Nothing much to say, just a quick easy pump session. Nothing too hard. Oh perhaps the good mornings yeah. It was burning like hell.

This morning I saw a plush toy in my brother’s room and I knew it was from my ex. I was pretty upset yeah. Then I went to the shooting. It was fun. Then at the gym and well i just try to let it glide on me. Let’s focus on the future. Got a nice smile from my gym crush and then you’re happier. Even if, realistically, I’m not going to do anything. I put my earbuds at the gym, blasting black metal and swith to my bitch, beast face. But I don’t even care, I have more important stuff to do than girls now anyway.

Dieting down tomorrow. Compared to many people, I cannot complain about my life. But still, my struggles were tough to me, and tough to overcome. But I survived and I’m stronger, whatever that means. Let’s get going with a new resolve, work hard to get what I want, as a job and as a body.
