Demigod before 35 (Aldebaran)

Why even get surgery at this point, haha?

Piece of meniscus lodged between tibia and femur, preventing full extension.

Over tile it would be bad. Tear would increase, other things could happen, erosion of the knee…

Upper Dynamic Day

A. Chain Bench
9 x 3 with 80 kgs + chains

B. Landmine Jerk
8,6,8,6 with ramping weight

C. Chaos Bench
4 x 45’’

D. Gorilla Row
6 x 20 with 28 kgs KBs

E. KB High Pull + Hammer Curl + Triceps DB Extension
3 x 12

Last identic session of the upper day, with increasing weight or reps each week. Bench was great!

Landmine, ugh i’m happy to ditch it. It comrpesses my long biceps, especially on the left side. Still a challenging and nice exercise, I just won’t use it with heavy weight anymore!

Chaos bench is still a torture

Nothing else much to say. I started a Tiktok lol because that’s where the future is… I’ve changed lol.

Going to sprinkle both educative and silly content. But it is working great to provide me new followers, and even a client in a few days!

Also, made me realize that unfortunately, sex sells lol. Meaning my abs ugh.

A nice rate of perceived Simos here. That’s 260 kgs. Never thought I could hold it. Gip would have been better on a good bar hehe

A 210 regular dead as well

Then 3 x 5 easy reverse band squat

Curls and KBs swings

Left knee/ hammy is in a poor state. I’m tired

Hi guys, i’m still there but have been a bit demotivated with the incoming surgery (tomorrow morning)

Last monday, 185 kgs box front squat

Today, last leg day for a while…

And a quadruple drop set on the leg press that left me lifeless lol.

Also stressed about money (gonna find some more job when i’ll be recovered) and the war obviously… Ukraine is dear to my heart, I’ve been having trouble sleeping.

I created this wod the day of invasion and I did it with a friend, it was terribly BRUTAL, 50 mins of pain

Last sunday we also did the Dan John Spartan challenge with a friend

10 rounds
5 deadlifts (140kgs) meanwhile the other partner bear walks

Took us around 5-6 mins? Short but intense

Also going out quite a bit. But with the surgery I’m putting an halt on all this. No alcool, no junkfood, so that my body canr ecover better…

I will be documenting my “leg days” and my situation in the next few days. For the upper body I’ll be doing Colossus (however I can!)

Good luck with surgery. You’ll do great! I feel you on the situation in Ukraine. It’s very troubling for me.

Surgery went well, i can walk (nurse was like “I can’t believe you just got knee surgery!”) but I going to be safe and cool, mobilize it easily and ice it a lot.

Tomorrow FULL REST just gonna write a little article, do my mobilization, maybe a little walk, and full Elden Ring

Sweet! Glad things went well!

You’ll be back in no time

Day + 13 after knee surgery. So I have been training a little bit, not as much as I should have (business, lazyness, gas is expensive as hell). My usual life of lifting and getting disappointed by girls was continuing though.

Not afraid of losing muscle so starting dieting seriously with COLOSSUS (I’m doing a lighter version this week though, removing 1 exercise per session)

Pull day

A. Meadows Row
3 heavier sets then 12 reps + double drop set with 40kgs

B. Wide-Grip Rack Pull
2 x 10 with 200 kgs

C. Band Pull-up
3 x max reps

D. Accentuated Eccentric Lats Pulldown with Partner
1 x 8 with 65 kgs

E. EZ Bar Curl
1 x 12 with 30 kgs
1 x 8 with 40 kgs

F. Hammer Curl
2 x 20 with 12 kgs DBs

Nice, tough, quick session with a partner, it was great! I did regular rack pull instead of a cluster. I’d rather use less weight and I’ve never really like this exercise and if I go too heavy for too many reps my form degrades

Push

1’ rest on everything

A. Incline DB Bench
3 x 12 with 30-26 kgs

B. Squeeze Press
3 x 10 with 20 kgs

C. Stretch Push-up
2 x max

D. Partial Lateral Raises + DB Press
3 x 20 + 6 with 16 kgs

E. V-Handle Pushdown
2 x 12

F. Tate Press
2 x 15

The burn was unreal. Triceps and chest just dying. really great sensation, but I was feeling weak.

Super tired today. I have lots of trouble doing actual work, or motivating myself to work these days. Like I just spent the morning doing pretty much nothing…

J+15 after knee surgery, did a little leg day

Oh God my lower back was pumped as hell just with the warm-up like if I were a beginner again! Really terrible ahahah

Some chain squats, some box squats (I think it was 100 kgs + 55kgs chains for sets of 5: I was feeling so weak! :frowning: )

Then lots of “sled” pulling (kettlebells strapped to a TRX) and ending with RDLs.

My hinging power remains intact it feels.

Close stance squats still feels the best right now because I’m so used to it. Considering switching to wide stance to save up some knees. But does wide stance make sense with high bar? :face_with_raised_eyebrow: I did box squats alternating high bar and low bar. No problem at all today but I kinda know that if I do it for a while my shoulders and elbows will die

So it’s been almost 1 month since my knee surgery. I was redoing Colossus which well, is not great to log honestly. But the workouts are great. Here is some stuff I did

Right knee is fine, left is meh.

So Today I was proposed to be part of a team for a crossFit competition on April 30. I said yes.

So this is proper incentive for me to document and chart everything here. I’ll be going in uncharted territories, programming wise. Gonna study Jason Brown stuff and some other. Super motivated to say the least, as soom as I said yes.

About food, training, and nutrition. I’ll most likely train 2x a day, but with less intense sessions.

I’ll be going Conjugate x CrossFit hybrid. Maybe it will give ideas to some of you guys. And if you have some for me, be it programming, strength, conditioning, workouts, fire ahead…

Here’s my current shape hehe but must admit that the pic doesn’t do me justice lol, my legss look tiny and all. 2 hours later after the workout, my belly had deflated and my shoulders were twice as big from the pump. But it’s a nice “before” pic :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

This is going to be fun to follow! Can’t wait to see you crush it, my friend.

I’m guessing 10 years of lifting have made my muscles, bon es and tendons more resilient. Also being afflicted with knee pains for years, I’m used to this. But yeah I was walking mere hours afterwards

04/04 - Max effort

A/ Sumo Deadlift 12 mins to get to a 200k single (easy, but not super tight)

B/ BSS 4 x 8 with 40 kilos

C/ Conditioning every 4 minute:
6 Power Clean at 70k
12 Burpees Over bar
12 V-up

Ouch the conditioning floored me! It was too instense! But I was very happy with the cleans: the bar flew, I didn’t even need to bend the knees, and I was in Chuck Taylors ahah
