Demigod before 35 (Aldebaran)

I second this. Enjoying your life should come a distant second to impressing random Internet strangers. And specifically the random Internet strangers here, not the ones on Instagram.

naaaah I’m being a gentleman!

Actually isn’t at lol! Would also be great with a sandbag or something for sure for our strongmany friends

Indeed! Only good news are happening right now. Found back my old watch. Just elarned there’s a new Rick and Morty season…

Oh I have some bad news as well but I guess when you shif your mindset you spend less time thinking about these and focus more on what you can change and enjoy

26/07 - Thor - Power Week, day 1

A1. Half Squat on Pins 4 x 4 with 120 kgs

A2. 4 x 2 Broad Jumps + 1 Vertical Jump

A3. Band-Resisted Jumps 4 x 4

A4. Jumps or Band-assisted Jumps 4 x 4

B. Pseudo Yoke Carry 4 x ?

C1. Speed Banded RDL 4 x 6 with 60 kgs + bands

C2. Side Plank 4 x 15’’ each side

I love these sessions. Tough but you’re not destroyed, and they do feel really great.

Starting with my favourite French Contrast

Then I had some fun trying to come up with a replacement for the yoke carry

That’s 90 kgs + 56 kgs in bells

Before that I was crazy and tried 130 kgs + bells. I legit took 1 minute at least to do 20 meters because it was so hard and unstable. My core never worked as hard as like that. Also nice proprioception for my feet/knees/hips

Truly a feat of strength! I thought I would just crumble or let the bar drop at least 5 times… It was so hard stabilizing this shit!

That’s 170 kgs. First set the bar got tangled up in the TRX, I started rotating and I had to drop the bar on the floor rofl. it was also the first time I was doing this or squat with “running” shoes. Really felt weird

Then some speed RDL, focusing on maximum speed and some abs (yeaaah I finally do my abs!)

This whole session was tougher than it looks. But it was good!

Well that’s it guys, exams passed, I’m a coach, and “valedictorian”

Yesterday’s session:

A1. Incline Bench with pause on pins 4 x 4 with 70 kgs

A2. Plyo Push-Ups 4 x 4

A3. DB Bench with bands 4 x 4 with 20 kgs + bands

A4. Side Band Punch 4 x 4 per side

B. Seated DB Press with bands 4 x 8 with 20 kgs + bands

C1. Close Grip Floor Press 4 x 8 with 70 kgs

C2. Rear Delt DB Flys 4 x 12 with 8 kgs

It was nice. I’ll upload the vids later. Ate a big fat BK. I’m just happy hehe. Gonna walk and go to sleep early

Thanks to all the T-nation fam that helped me build myself as a better man, athlete and coach. Started the T-nation journey maybe 6 years ago? I don’t forget you guys. Thank you

Thank you guys! You really helped me with this.

Full rest this weekend hehe. Spendind the day with friends at a pool, then celebrating tonight and tomorrow all day long the diploma with my friends that passed the exams as well!

Then I stay this august at the gym as well. I like it here. Yesterday, one of the coach forgot he had two cross-training classes to give and didn’t show up (lol) so I stepped up. It was actually very fun ahah and it was quite the experience to improvise two sessions and animate them without preparation.

So the first WOD I ever gave:
21-15-9
Deadlift
Burpees
Ground to overhead
Sit-ups

It was fun!

Then, now I can focus and start my business as well, which is the real goal to me. Starting a cut on monday, to have more pics for the website and IG to post mya rticles. Gonna work on my website etc, digital stuff, write more articles, post them, create and post videos and IG stuff… So exciting!

My boss even proposed me to finance me a YouTube channel lol! He believes greatly in me and what I can bring ahah

So that’s the plan. Pay up the rest of my study loans. Spare some money, get a place and make my business thrive. I have my first monthly paying customer meeting this thursday!

This will all be a lot of work.

Still trained this week but I must admit I skipped most of the cardio.

More french contrast training:

Upper boddy: 4 Paused bench at 85 kgs + 4 Plyo push-ups + 4 Chest Ball throw + 4 Band-assisted Plyo Push-ups

Lower body: 4 Deadstop Trap-bar DL with 160 kgs + 4 Jumps + 4 Jumps against bands + 4 Band-assisted jumps

  • their assistance of course (back and bi work after upper body, some hamstring and abs after lower body)

These are shorter sessions, but they feel good. You literally jump higher at every set ahah

Gonna resume actual logging this monday, as well as cardio for this brutal week

This weekend, just a big break and enjoying stuff. I already look way better than a couple of weeks ago

I took a week off most things but work (I worked everyday) just to relax. Not a care about eating, and spend my time relaxing my brain and playing God of War.

Today I’m devastated by the passing of John Meadows.

Cried a few times this morning.

I still remember reading “Mountaindog for intermediates” almost ten eyars ago, or doing his reactive hypertrophy stuff. More recently, I’ve been very influenced by his recent programs such as Colossus, and I’ve been using his techniques, cues, and talking about him or telling his stories to my clients and friends with success.

He truly was a great man and an inspiration. Growing without a father, he was kind of a father figure to me and the kind of person I want to be.

His legacy will live through me and others as well. In my programs, my coaching, my mentality and the things I like to do in the gym.

This serves as a reminder that life is short and precious, and I’m just even more motivated to work towards my goals.

Finally, his French contrast and bodybuilding hybrid program will never happen. I’ll have to write it then.

This was definitely a blow. John was a guy who truly understood bodybuilding. I have gained a lot more muscle recently by incorporating a lot of his techniques into my routines.
I own three of his programs and definitely want to take one to completion now to see where it takes me.

Awesome attitude to have on this. I would definitely be interested in a program like that.
