Demigod before 35 (Aldebaran)

McDonalds in other countries are different! I’ve been to several McDonalds in Italy. Way different than US, I have photos. I also watched a documentary on McD around the world, they are not the same from country to country.

I’m also guessing the attitude of Workers around the world are different.

MacDonalds workers (in my experience) tend to fit a similar profile to those I see in my stores, which is to say a mix of stereotypical lifers and people who are going somewhere but need some pocket money while they get there. I have plenty of colleagues with degrees, or multiple degrees and many more earning them.

I would say MacDonalds tends to cater more for the lifers, but it’s still a mix.

Remember here that we have social security and all. Many adults who are lazy fucks rather abuse the system and get benefits than work such a hard job.

A solid 90% of employees in my restaurant are 20 or less. They are almost all students and it’s their first job to pay for their studies/pocket money. Then there are a very few people that needed a quick fix, and there’s only one who’s been for many year, but it’s probably she’s just given up ahah (and she’s not that stupid, she even has a college degree)

The profile here is to be quick, malleable, and available for weird/annoying hours.

But you know, a friend of mine, ex-army, told me last week he would rather become a criminal than work at my job so :joy:

15/06 - Odysseus - Week 4 - Legs

A. Standing Leg Curl 1 x 10, 1 x 10 + 10 partials + 30 secs iso-hold with 25 kgs

B. Squat 6 x 1 with 140 kgs

C. Reverse-Band Hack Squat 1 x 25 (rest-pause style with 12 RM) with 160 kgs

D. Cable Pull-Throughs 3 x 15 with 35 kgs

E1. Leg Raises 3 x 6

E2. DB farmer’s Walk with the 40s

F. Calves on Leg Press one big drop set

“Deload” week. The lying leg curl was taken so I used the standing one. My strength is progressing on these and my left hammy is feeling better doing these, less pain, tightness and all. It was very tough and my pesterior chain was burning

Decided to take the oly shoes for a spin today. I don’t know if it was the right move because my left knee has been a bit achy for a week. This could be many factors, but I’ve been eating horribly bad for the last couple weeks (for instance yesterday, 3 times McDo or Pizza + ice cream) and I’m resuming my good habits. My body demands fruits and vegetables.

Still practicing the new cue on this. it makes the portion out of the hole quite slow, but at the same time I feel very stable and more confident. Here’s the last set of the day. I stepped on my spotter’s foot when unracking (you can see it at the first) and it was a really unpleasant felling. My left leg felt hot for a few minutes afterwards, like a shock.

Here is a prime example of morphology differences: see how my legs are much longer than his and how my butt is way higher. I look like a giant lol

Hack Squat completely destroyed my quads and ass. I really like these, they are totally pain free and feel amazing.

Left hamstring/knee painful on the pull-throughs…

Then did the work. Quite sluggish pace today. Tired from sunday’s birthday party a bit. The weather is horribly hot here now

You’re also almost a head taller than him.

Squat looked solid!

Yes indeed I have a head on him but if you compare our torso, they are almost similar in length!

Thanks yeah I think I’m on the good path with this lift

Which cue is that? Asking for a friend.

Same here but there is also a decent group of people who didn’t put much effort into high school. They have kids, no skills, but still work. McDonald’s seems to be full of these folks. Some are good people; some are terrible people. The demographic seems to be similar either way and it’s not college students.

“Spreading the floor appart” instead of “pushing the knees out”. I found it (as well as many experienced coaches) that external cues are better than internal cues.

But it’s harder to do with the oly shoes for I have less connexion between my feet and the floor with the hard sole and heel.

There is one here as well ahah but honestly she’s just a dreg of a human at this point

16/06 - Odysseus - Push 1 - Week 4

A. Incline DB Bench 1 x 10 with 36 kgs, 1 x 10 + 6 + 6 dropset

B. Bench Press 10 x 1 with 104 kgs

C. Bands Over and Back 2 x 30

D. DB Press + Push Press 2 x 8 + max with 24 kgs

E. V-Handle Pushdown 2 x 10 with 35-40 kgs

F. OVH triceps Extension Machine 2 x 12 + 10 secs stretch with 20 kgs

Before that, did the abs/cardio workout class of my tutor. 45 mins of abs destruction lol! Good, I need stronger abs. The first block was centered on the rectus abdominis. Jesus it was truly horrible. Deadbugs variations and other shits with 10 kgs plates. Just awful. The oblique part was better (probably from the squats and all?)

In any case I’ve decided to double down the abs work. I’m sure I leak too much strength through it

Bench was a bit tough then. Not my best day (finished McDonald’s at midnight the night before, it was terrible, the rush was terrible because of the football game and I almost just quit because it was going so bad) so I slept little.

But overall the session was good. I had a big pump and under the lights I look crazy. Been eating a lot (unfortunately, shit food, multiple pizza/burgers/ice cream a day) so I’m certainly fuller and all, but now I’m back on track. Was famished all day. Walking from 9 AM to 8 PM really burns a lot of calories

Tried a preworkout today for the first time with my mate. But honestly, appart from making my face super itchy, no difference in energy, so it’s a nope to me

Took a pic, and I look good overall, my delts are huge

Sans titre

You aren’t kidding, man! Looking swole.

Mate

Get some fucking burpee therapy down your neck

The physique shit is done. You’ve owned it.

Take it up a notch. Show these maniacs who the real bad boy is.

Let’s go my man

Someone else put this in your log a few months ago, let me reiterate it (don’t recall the author)

The demigods are titling their logs “to look like Aldebaran”.
Seriously you have arrived!

Looking just awesome. Now what kind of cardio/abs class is that? Around here that would be mostly 40+ women and a few younger ones, using 5lb dumbbells and a spin bike. Is your class for a more interesting audience?

Insane delts mate, what’s the secret?

Lateral raises supersetted with cry wanking over women

Thanks mate, I am in a good spot yes!

I just did today! At the end of the class, some rounds of max reps down and ups, jumping jack and burpees for several rounds for time. It was a good sweat. But yes cardio is on the back burner for a while: 6 more months approximately (4 more weeks on this program, then 3 months on a CT one, then 9 weeks on the Unity) Then I’m boiling up some conditioning athletic stuff. I just do one 45 mins session a week + lots of walking

Not yet owned completely. I’m playing on it right now. Other coaches were famous athletes. or super strong, or endurant. I’m just very good looking (for a natural). That’s the way things are: most general population simply want to lose some fat and gain some muscle rather than having a better cardio, even though it is better for their health.

In any case the physique thing have been giving me more gains than other approaches.

Thank you this is really nice to hear!

Honestly the audience was quite varied, not that old. It was tough man ahahah. And of course I feel extra pressure because I look like a tank and I’m the intern and the teacher presents me to everyone :joy:

But the truth is I demolished everyone on the cardio block, but suffered terribly on the rest lol! There was like 1 min non-stop of situp with straight arms holding 10 kgs overhead, or deadbugs with 10 kgs in your arms etc

I really need to work my core more. I had this reflexion yesterday or the day before, watching my class video. Then the cardio aprt at the end was really fun and envigorating

Exactly :joy:

First, lateral raises are great, I’ve been doing them most of my weeks training. Also, let’s do them right: slight internal rotation (pinky higher than thumb), elbow very slightly bent, stopping before even parallel, and focusing on the pusing the weight on the side as far as possible, not upwards.

Then I probably plead guilty lol! Actually on Sunday there were girls and one liked me and I took her IG and our mutual friend was like “so did you send her a message?” But no I didn’t. Even though she’s cute. I honestly think that the other girl, the one that hurt me left some print. i really don’t like this, that she checked my story 3 months later. Because now I think of her. And I check my stories’ watchers now lol. And I was a bit disappointed that I didn’t meet the girl I like, and she has not responded my last messages, but she’s the first to watch my stories whereas she didn’t watched them before (she has like 12 K).

Anyway whatever! I can have girls. I’m the prize, I’ve realized that. I’m far from perfect, but honestly there aren’t that many guys like me. Honestly my days are so full (and great, I was talking with the other intern about how we were happy right now) that I don’t have the time nor the particular want.

I’m just waiting for a few more months, that I have my degree, my job, my weekends (finally!) and my place. Then I’ll have all the tools in hand to focus a bit more about the girls I want.

Genetics? I’m not great chested, so delts it is. Then CT programs are heavy on shoulders and I did these for four years, + olympic lifting, + trying the best techniques to work them as best I could, + actually training them ahrd and loving to train them (I don’t understand how many guys dislike training abs)

A friend will be doing some live IG videos with sports personalities, and he invited me to participate at one lol. I’m excited

Did the pull and the push day.

Pull day was meh but the deads felt quite good

Push day my technique improved on OVH press I was happy. Rest of the session was pumpy and enjoyable

Even with the poor lighting I look so full, and great. It wasn’t a back day yet my lats stand out from the front. I look great, like a superhero, and a couple clients told me they wanted to look like me ahah

But honestly I almost didn’t do that session. I’m so tired. No days off really is tiring me, it’s not for me.

You add girl problem, and the fine that took 1/3 of my salary to my already existing money stress ughhhh

Nothing to worry, really, it’s life. But when I’m this tired, little things bug me more. So I’m quite down tonight

But it was a great day at the internship. Getting more confidence and better with the clients, I really had a blast, as they did. I enjoyed myself writing programs as well, using more of the stuff that I like

I don’t want to train tomorrow before work and I think I won’t. For ME, not wanting to train?? It’s that something is wrong. So I’ll just sleep more and rest, I think I need it. Plus my left knee is still bugging me.

Excited for monday’s session though

21/06 - Odysseus - Push 1 - Week 5

A. Slight Incline DB Bench 12x 11 with 40 kgs

B. Bench Press ramp up to a triple with 110kgs

C. Fly Press with 5 secs eccentric 2 x 12 with 20 kgs

D. Barbell Face-pull 3 x 12 with 30 kgs

E. Lateral Raises 1 x 12, 1 x 12 + 5 myo reps with 12 kgs

F. Rope Pushdowns 2 x 15 with 25 kgs

G. Machine Dips 2 x many

I switched the days order because I trained in another gym. Despite everything and feeling quite tired (this weekend I slep until 9-10 so waking up late, I think I needed it? But still feeling dizzy and tired) I felt STRONG. Sets of 12 with the 40 kgs DBs, I never did that, for sure

Was supposed to do incline bench, but this gym has limited equipmenent, so we tried on the old smith, but I only almost hurt my back bracing because the bench moved with a heavy set lol so we switched to flat bench, straight to 100kgs, then 110

I felt strong, could have done a fourth rep even with the lack of stability (hastiness, different bench, slippery floor).

I’m sure I would have broken my 120 kgs PR. This will come soon enough.

The rest of the session, well it’s upper body, it’s easy. Good pump. The fly press provided a great stretch and stimulus, I recommend!

I woke up that day with veins on my abs. Not my oblique but straight on the 6 pack, despite having eaten McDonald’s all weekend.

Of course I don’t intend to do this all the time and feeling a bit guilty, but yeah, I was surprised. I really believe movement is key. I walk around 20K steps a day these days.

Like I read recently in @ChongLordUno or @SvenG logs: workouts, workouts, workouts. Movement! I don’t see, or barely, mention of food. Yet I see progress.

I really believe movement is key. Of course I don’t as much callistenics as the guys, I walk, but it’s still some exercise. I really enjoy my walks, listening to some podcasts. I even walked at 1 AM this night after work

Obviously if I were to eat 6000 cals of junk food every day some things would go wrong at some point. I would like to go back to my “dieting down diet”, clean-ish of 2600-2800 cals, but with more calories this time!

On other news I asked a girl out a couple days out and got brutally rejected :joy:
It stang a bit but I don’t care honestly that much. I’m not going to wallow and complain, but will keep trying. I believe it is in adversity and challenges that we grow and learn anyway.

Only one more week and I’m finally free of McDonald’s, and I’m having one of my two coach exams the 30th

Looks like a pretty neat session I must say. I can feel the “good workout energy” from here!

She probably felt you were out of her league, Aldebaran is too much of a specimen :joy: Head up king!
