The thing with that video is that it’s almost mocking itself in how wacky Japanese-ey it is. It felt like a parody from SNL or something.

A friend of mine once observed that after the nuclear attacks against Japan the culture went from Samurai to…stuff like this. I know that’s a crude generalization but sometimes when you watch a clip like that you have to wonder where the hell it came from.
