50 first dates was pretty good too.
I like that he uses the same character actors in his movies. Shows loyalty that he keeps using the guys that got him where he’s at.
Like, the “hoe-dee-o-doh” cajun in Waterboy plays Drew Barrymore’s dad in 50 FD.
Personally I think he would be a really cool guy to hang out with and I agree about his loyalty to his friends. You can just see the evolution of his personal experiences in life. First out wild and crazy (fart/drunk humor), then semi mature with waterboy and big daddy and 50 FD, now its all about growing old and facing our short comings etc.
True.
Click missed the mark for me but I got the idea of what he was trying to say.
and My nieces will watch “Bedtime Stories” over “Enchanted” any day of the week, so that says something about his ability to still connect with kids.
Fuck did we hyjack this thread, my bad.

That’s interesting, I thought Click was amazing, but maybe it was due to the surprise factor of a comedy turning into a drama based on that tale of the ghost of the past, present and future.
I watched it for free at the cinema, expected a typical lame comedy and after the movie I was very, very satisfied with what I had watched.
Sometimes I think that trailers should really try to reflect what the movie is about. Click is part comedy, part drama and the trailer make it look like your typical family lame we all laugh comedy.
I’ve got the same feeling with Rise of the Planet of the Apes. One trailer makes the movie look amazing, with the evolution of Cesar and so on and how then it takes a wrong turn. The rest of the trailers make it look like moneys on steroids attacking the city. I really want to know the exact focus of the movie. If the “nice” part is going to be 15 minutes and the rest is going to be war, I’ll skip it. If it’s 70/30, count me in!
