Did anyone else notice how cops have to wear really unfunctional shoes for their job, which can include running?

I’ve thought about this before. Maybe they have some that look like dress shoes on top, but have soles like sneakers?

do cops in the USA have to buy their own? two of my friends now in the met(london cops) said they had to buy their own. i cant think of anything that would let you sprint but also offer protection in a fight

Youd have to be stupid as fuck to fight him. He pretty much didn’t know what to do so he just mauled him, his punches were quick but extremely poorly aimed.
Sure he has very little skill compared to most, though he is a trained martial artist, but he simply outclasses everyone physically.
And hes not going to get “winded”, hes one of the greatest athletes alive, his endurance and work capacity are ridiculous, watch his training videos, he is very very quick, his training is very intense.
If anything he has a serious endurance advantage in that weight class, his speed and conditioning is probably unmatched by anyone else in the sport, as is his strength by a huge factor, but that was a given.
I don’t think alot of people realize that much of his success as a strongman was not from being the absolute strongest guy, he generally wasn’t, it was from being the extremely strong guy who was also agile and quick. Hes fast. He didn’t burn out like alot of guys did in later events.
He will simply overwhelm and outlast you.
In this sport hes like a bear:
Go ahead try to use your technical skills on a bear, hey the bear doesn’t know jujitsu, you have a chance…oh wait, its still a bear. Hey maybe the bear will get tired or you can outrun it ? Opps…no its still a bear.
(for anyone who doesn’t know, bears can hit 35+ MPH and can cover extensive distances per day.)
The metaphor fits.

Wow, that guy has an impressively small penis.
I didn’t see a penis. And he totally deserved to be tasered like that. Stupid fuck.
You gotta give it to him - he didn’t back down till he had no Idea where he was.
Maybe he’s showing off how huge his sac is compared to his dick.
He’s a wizard. He’s trying to impress the crowd by making his penis disappear.

A bear? But, he’s not even black. Sorry, a reference to something Alffi wrote in another thread…
The situation in predominantly white nations such as the USA and the UK might be far worse if it was not for the far more developed, white police force which protects all races (including protecting blacks from other blacks, their biggest threat) as well as the far superior infrastructure in general.
In this light, the liberal logic reminds me of Timothy Treadwell, the guy who fooled around with brown bears and liked to believe that he’s communicating them with like they were humans. Ultimately he got killed.
In the same manner, some whites like to pretend that protohuman species’ hundreds of thousands of years behind in evolution are just like modern humans. Everybody else better pretend as well. ‘Civil rights’ and animal rights are not that different concepts after all.
A grizzly bear really is dangerous and not only because a human irritated and bothered (oppressed) it first. A bear’s life is harsh and violent and being held captive (‘oppressed’) is not necessarily any worse than surviving in the wild and fighting other bears as well as for food.
In captivity, the carnivore (african) can actually live a longer and safer life than it would lead in the wild (Africa, Detroit, european ghettos etc.).
Sure, there are examples of grizzlies that have been tamed with success and have even starred in movies, tv-series’ and circuses but generally speaking, segregation of people and beasts is proper and necessary because having such animals living among humans would require enormous spending to protect humans (increased police, jailing, need for weapons and related technology among citizens etc.) as well the often futile attempt to tame (special education) the furry ‘friends’ to the extent that they don’t cause trouble (see WolBarret’s avatar for example of futile education).
Even so, there can only be so many bear entertainers and having to support all the unproductive bears (welfare) would be very costly for humans.
