Dbol and Blood Pressure

Hi all,

Couple days into my second cycle. It looks like this:

W 1 Dbol 25 mg/day
W 2:4 Dbol 50 mg/day
W 1:12 Test E 650 mg/week
W 2:12 Asin 12.5 mg/E3D
Standard PCT with Nolva at 40, 40, 20, 20.

Pretty basic cycle but my question comes in with the Dbol. This is my first time using Dbol as my first cycle was straight 500 mg/week of Test E. I have a history of high blood pressure in my family and on any given day it will be around 135-140/90. I’m on my 3rd day of Dbol and have been experiencing signs of dangerously high blood pressure. I’ve been having severe head aches and pretty bad chest pains that feel like someone is squeezing/sitting on my chest, and this is only at 25 mg. I went on my lunch break today and checked my blood pressure and it was 153/85!!! No bueno!! I know Dbol can increase blood pressure, but this much? Should I expect this to play itself out as my body adjusts to the Dbol, or should I discontinue use of it? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hate to break it you man but this problem is not going to work its self out as long as the dbol is present this is going to happen. Espeacially once you get into the 50 and up area. Last time I ran Dbol my blood pressure was some 165+ over something. At its highest. I started getting constant nose bleeds from seemingly nothing.

Milk thistle, lots of water, and Bayer aspirin helped keep mine stable around 150. Obviously still high but not so high I felt like shit… only real positive is that after a max effort Deadlift nothing is cooler than a nose bleed lol.

Gee I don’t know, maybe STOP taking it? Is this fucking real? I’m guessing your bodyfat is a lot higher than it should be too.

No offense Girth but I don’t necessarily thinking his body fat has anything to do with it atleast with how the drugs are concerned. My bodyfat is under control and I have blood pressure issues when and only when Dbol but I know guys with a much higher like look nasty in there lifting singlets bodyfat and they have zero problems with dbol effecting there blood pressure.

Reed,

Thanks for your reply. I’ll keep all that in mind. I’m not sure if I’m going to continue taking it or not. I’m thinking lay off for a couple days and start back up if I feel I can.

GirthBrooks,

lol moron…

OK I know I’m new to T Nation. But not steroids. Let’s face it. If u have turned to steroids then u have sort of waived your rights to be healthy on the inside for the pursuit of a certain look or goal. At least for a while. If you are truly concerned about 153/85 then you should definitely just stay natural and do cardio

Bumping this thread because I have a very similiar situation as the OP. My pressure numbers are identical as his (before and after), cycle is same for test dosage but 30mg for the dbol. Medium grade headache and a little gastrointestinal distress but not much.

Any other advice someone could chime in on?

Get off the dbol would be my recommendation but if not try taking some cialis and asprin

my advice is try taking baby aspirin and omega 3 … and drink lots and lots of water … do that for couple of days and see … if bloodpressure still high then u have no option except getting off it … good luck bro

Feel like shit again this morning. Bought a BP monitor and readings started low this morning and back up to yesterday levels pretty quick.

So my plan is an aspirin a day, drink lots of water, fish oil, and went EOD with my adex instead of MWF to keep bloat in check. Making a doctor appointment in the morning, so by the time I get in I will have more data. Also reducing the dose to 10mg. Probably not enough to make me feel strong physically, but pyscologically it will feel like I have an “edge” in the gym.

I am guessing I will walk out with a script, and hopefully I can ramp things back up. This is my first experience with Dbol and I really, really like it. It would be a shame to have to drop it.

So word of warning to newer guys reading. Make sure vitals are in check before cycling. I always new my BP was a little high and was just being lazy/reluctant to go on “unneeded” meds. Now it will cost me a week or two of dbol awesomeness.

So youre gonna take bp meds just so y can take dbol?

Maybe trying anavar instead?

Right??!!

Some people can’t take certain things. Deal with it

Lol, kids…

I wouldn’t consider 140/90 safe while off based on online findings. Normal is considered under 120/80. Honest question, are you seeing or hearing something different?

I am not going to take meds just to take dbol. I am going to take it so I don’t have a stroke in 10 years. I should have addressed this years ago, but never had any symptoms. If I get to stay on then great. If not, there are other options.

so you are constantly 140/90 while off of all drugs?

and the reason i said that is because you just so happened to decide to try to correct your blood pressure issues while you are taking dbol which led me to believe dbol was the deciding factor. You’ll deny it but you know it’s true.

140/90 consistent as checked through the years. I won’t say the dbol wasn’t the igniter to get it looked, I accept that. I also just didn’t respect 140/90 being high. Hitting 150+ brought on symptoms that made me realize this is high, and I need to take it seriously.

So what is your reasoning behind using steroids at all? If you have blood pressure issues and remotely concerned with it, you should not be cycling. Seems pretty simple to me.

Also, fuck dbol. Worst steroid I’ve ever tried in terms of side effects to gains. Anadrol on the other hand is the sexiest shit I’ve ever experienced.

just goes to show how much individual tolerances vary. I’m the exact opposite
