Danazol Only Protocol

Hi All!

Hoping for some feedback on this:

Have been studying this and all options for some time now to try and figure the best long term strategy for high SHBG guys such as myself.

here is my question: Based on my bloods from below, would you say a Danazol only protocol could possibly work???

My question on this is that I have read in several locations that taking danazol, though it lowers SHBG quite well…also lowers you natural testosterone production?

So do people think a ‘Danazol Only’ protocol is viable, based on below levels???

Or only alongside a TRT program???

I’m not so sure about this. If I recall, back in the late '70s, some weightlifters looked into to this, but as you mentioned, it was thought Danazol reduced testosterone levels in men. I’ll have to look into it.

Why don’t you just take testosterone?

Addendum: It is on the prohibited list for WADA. Perhaps it is performance enhancing for women?

It’s an anabolic steroid, hence why it’s prohibited.

Danazol is supressive, another dude on here did this a while back, I recall his TT dropped to like 130ng/dl

Right, of course it is. I’ve been drug tested multiple times. Point was that guys did not use it as a PED anyway.

Danazol will shut down natural production so you’ll need to at least take testosterone to replace what your body is no longer producing

Danazol will only lower SHBG while you are taking the medication. Furthermore, as others have stated, danazol is suppressive and will shut down your total test.

In my experience, the only way to lower SHBG / increase free T is to increase total T.

Thank you guys. Yes you have pretty much confirmed what I thought was the case. I was sure I had read about it shutting down your natural test.

Seems it is a fairly good way of lowering your SHBG but only alongside TRT as you say.

I would be interested to hear anyone else’s experience of comparing Proviron against Danazol & if anyone who has run these for a fair amount of time; to hear what they thought?

Thanks
