just need to vent. i am down 6k in this dam market right now. i am in it for the long haul so no throwing barbells through the glass window yet but close.
rivian better turn around! i am betting on metaverse too.
this metaverse is where all the lazy donkeys will be training watch! lol
Down $6k since when? Surely not since 2020 or before…
I’m down about $6k on BABA in my yolo account. Following Munger down, down, down. Still way up on FB, but halved gains from last fall’s high.
I was following markets closely and actively trading for a year or so and doing well (who wasn’t tho), but then job and family responsibilities increased substantially and my portfolios have been put on autopilot since. The best investment you can make, is in your career… Or some such saying.
I’m down 250k. Guess its all relative though. Gains have been unreal the past several years so you’re still better off as long as you are a long term investor. Fed is speaking at 2pm today and we shall see how that goes.
I’m in a UK tech stock, DarkTrace (DARK) but in the US I’m in a biotech, Evelo (EVLO). I’m telling myself this is a perfect buying opportunity…
My BIL works on Oculus and just lost about 20% of his net worth today. I personally got pummeled in my YOLO account, but am now loading up on FB in my retirement account where I previously had no FB.
I just bought a FB stock minutes ago. Added some money to my trading account. I’ll probably buy a few more and maybe some spotify. I can’t see them staying down. It is my YOLO account, but I’ve done well so far.
From a civil engineering perspective I see HUGE potential in the VR and AR that they are leading the charge on. I imagine that tech and infrastructure will be super commonplace in the not distant future. That’s why I like FB.
I am just waiting until my transfer clears, and I’ll buy some more. So far it has lost 26% value. I don’t see it staying there.
I just try to be opportunistic. When Covid hit, I bought a bunch of stuff for like 75% off. It is not up to full value, but it has come back a lot. Hopefully that happens with Facebook.
Eh, 6k? I’m not sure how old you are or how much you have invested, but eventually that’ll be a bad day. It helps to look at it on a time base rather than a dollar base. How many months back are you? It’s easier to stomach that way.
