From my understanding of the rules they have to use the ball as a prop, not just a prop. Although i did hear that in those cases the league reviews it after the game and decides if there is a fine that should handed out

It looked like a very quick light, oops push where he got his hand back trying not to be seen. I also believe this would be enough to cause a guy to trip or change his gate, maybe leading to the legs tangling immediately after.
I don’t think it was an intentional push, but something he realized he shouldn’t have done. I think this is what got the call.
