Cycle While on TRT, Bloodwork Timing?

So I have to give my doctor blood tests every three months while on TRT. If I was to run a cycle how long would it take for my blood work to return to normal so my doctor won’t freak out because of extra curricular steroids. By normal I mean LDL and HDL, red blood count, blood pressure. Started 250 mg. Dhb a week with my TRT dose of 100mg. Just started this week.

Every 3 months is quite often. I had a Dr who tested me every 6 months and I would give myself 4 weeks to get my labs back to normal and never had an issue. Eventually I got tired of that I just got another Dr who did not have an issue with my extracurricular activity. He just wanted me to be honest so he could know what he was dealing with. I like this guy much more.

Doesn’t take long. Numbers drop quickly. When you get 4 weeks out do the 250. Wait 2 weeks then start back on 100 per wk and you’ll be fine.

Wk4 250
Wk3 nothing
Wk2 100
Wk1 100 - go get bloods on day 3 of this injection.

Just for a little more clarity and too sum up, you are saying that in 4 weeks my blood levels should return to normal.

Altho i agree that total T will probably drop back down to trt range in 4 weeks other numbers can take much longer.

LDL, HDL, AST, ALT, RBC, HTC, can all take longer depending on how out of range they are. This depends on what compounds you were using. If it was just added testosterone then you probably don’t have to worry much about these values except maybe RBC and HTC.

Also estrogen if increased from testosterone could take every bit if not more then 4 weeks to get back to what it normally would have been on your trt protocol.

Thanks for the responses, I’ll continue on, and if my doctor asks I’ll be up front with him. He looks at my numbers closely and prescribes TRT at moderate doses, that keeps me at the high side of the range. Kind of going with the “it’s easier to get forgiveness than permission theory.” No really lying but kind of not telling the truth either lol.

A little late to this thread @jburton , but I am about to try the same thing for same reason. Would like to hear if it works for you.

I am on 200mg/week. Plan was to go to 400 for 8 weeks (blood work every 12 weeks) then back to 200mg 4 weeks out from blood work. I don’t want my numbers to be bottomed out. Prefer they fall in the 600-800 range like they normally do to avoid too many questions.

There is no … “work for you” … half life of test is a fact so once you work through a couple half lives you are back in range. As others mentioned 4 weeks should do it for test. If you’re only blasting 400mg test and no other compounds your other CBC values won’t likely get too out of whack, at least not for the majority of people. I always run my blast after last round of bloodwork so I have plenty of time before the next round of tests to recover to baseline.

I will be going in for my test the first week of December, I will post numbers for your reference. Just so you know I did a modest cycle of 1 test cypionate dehydroboldonene and testosterone cypionate for 6 weeks. 350 a week on the 1 test cyp. And 120 a week on the testosterone cyp. The 1 test cyp doesn’t convert to estrogen so that should not change but it does effect other things. I am currently on 100 mg. Per week testosterone cyp and will be on for 5 weeks before test.

@jburton
What were the results from the 6 week cycle?

Thank you both! @blshaw @jburton

Almost no gain in strength, looks or weight; not worth it. The compound 1 test cypionate is supposed to be ran for a long cycle; but still should have got something out of it. It is also extremely painful to inject, painful like if I inject 125 ml. I can hardly sit down painful, pain all the way to tailbone. I think I’ll stay away from that.
