By lower dosages are you referring to your TRT or when you cycle.
In your opinion, is test legitimately safer than other AAS such as masteron, deca, primo etc. I don’t think any are particularly dangerous unless abused, however I have a hunch that testosterone is far less likely to cause issues long term (primarily with regards to cardiac health) my basis being firstly testosterone is a hormone natural to the body in relatively large amounts, it isn’t man made therefore the body is familiar with it, and it is more open to metabolism by the liver than synthetic AAS etc. Nandrolone, I don’t count as being naturally produced since it is only in trace amounts @physioLojik
@unreal24278 trt dosages testosterone is extremely safe I agree. I think also the effects of the the other drugs (tren deca etc) are much harsher neurologically. Maybe people don’t manifest damaging physical sides from juice, but almost everyone experiences mental issues to some capacity related to altered or suppressed neurotransmitters.
@unreal24278 it’s awesome. Side note - the only time it sucks being my size is the following situation haha - going for a 14 mile hike at 14k feet with my pregnant wife and two daughters haha who dusted me. My oldest kept giving me shit. It was awesome haha. She’d run up to me and give me a hug and then say why are you so hungry all the time and then run away saying don’t be afraid of a little girl. Being a dad is the best thing ever tbh. I am looking forward to dropping back to 255/260. I have to stop and eat every 2 hours as well and carry a mountain of food lol.
Sorry to bother you, I looked at these two studies (which I’d seen before yet forgotten about) and it rose some serious concerns. It appears potential myocardial dysfunction from cumulative AAS use may be more severe than I previously thought, even after compounding factors were taken out (recreational drug abuse, human growth hormone and other drugs) cardiac function was still significantly worse than non AAS using strength athletes and controls. I’m aware the study sizes are very small, however the degree of significance found in the results signals that these studies have a legitimate chance of having clinical significance, and this shatters my dreams of being a competitive bodybuilder, as while I love what I do, I’m not willing to take a significant risk of killing myself for it. These two studies have made me re-evaluate a few things, my first blast will sadly be a mere 250mg/week. If you have the time to check these studies out and tell me what you think I’d really appreciate it… Some of the LV ejection fraction readings were like… as low as what one would see in an individual with congestive heart failure! @physioLojik
Aeroplane seats when not in first class
Sitting in the middle during a family trip
Hiring a small, rental car
Finding clothes that fit properly
Costs more $ to meet caloric needs
People judge, make assumptions that said person spends all their time in the gym which isn’t true
I’ve just shared some of my pessimism.
Also if you’re gonna start hiking (great idea, hiking is really relaxing if you have nice scenery around) 14 miles is a bit much for a first time hike, I started with 10km hikes and worked my way up. Mountain hiking is the best, especially when one gets to the lookout points, the views are amazing, really calms me down, I find it easier to walk the harder hikes if I bring some music with #deathmetal, however it drowns out the nature sounds (and people talking if you’re with someone you don’t like, that’s a super plus if you’re ever in that situation)
@unreal24278 haha this wasn’t my first hike. I’ve grown up doing it it just gets more tricky when you weigh a shit ton. And yes the clothing thing is tough. All my suits are custom as my coat is a 56R but the pants that would come with that are 48 lol and I’m a 32 or 33. Comic book shit haha. And thankfully when we fly we don’t fly economy. That would be impossible.
As far as the studies - yes they’re true and cardiac alterations occur. What those studies don’t tell you is the lifestyle of the subjects. I believe living a fairly clean lifestyle food wise (you know how to eat and making sure you’re getting anti inflammatory foods and supplements) and making sure you get tons of relaxation and de stressing through parasympathetic nervous system stimulation can majorly offset the negatives. The following needs to be repeated over and over.
Most guys need to not cycle. They need to figure out how to train, eat, and recover. Most guys don’t. They train or recover like shit. They think drugs will offset their shit training and diet. They think they train hard and they don’t.
The best cycles I ever did looked like this
Test 300 mg a week. Pre workout - 5iu humalog post workout 5iu HGH. THATS IT. If you can’t grow on 250/300 mg test the issue isn’t drugs. It’s you.
My first five cycles were basically only 300mg t without anything else. I grew because I fucking train like a monster and I relax like a monster. I stay away from toxic people and situations. I set boundaries at work and with friends. Add to the mix I have a truly epic wife who takes care of me and has sex with daily and who spends her off time from her medical practice teaching yoga. These are the tweaks that determine your true potential. It isn’t about drugs. They are the icing. 90% of guys here shouldn’t be cycling. And if they do it should be mild.
This one’s tough, I tend to stress eat (anxiety), it isn’t particularly how clean my diet is as it’s better than about 90 percent of the general populace, besides my daily cookie (as stupid as that sounds it’s a thing), it’s the volume of food I eat, I’ve eaten entire wheels of cheese or tubs of cottage cheese when I’m stressed out, bowls of plain noodles, brown rice etc.
Haha yea I think I train hard but I doubt I do compared to the guys who really know what they’re doing, however I do tend to exercise for the sake of exercising, I find that it relaxes me and sometimes even relieves joint pain #endorphins
I’m still able to make decent progress despite currently having sub-normal to low testosterone levels. I put on an extra kilogram (Yeet) and my strength/progress gym wise seems to be gradually improving… Not as fast as when I was using 210mg test/wk, however I’m making progress that I am satisfied with for the situation I am currently in.
I’ll be honest and say I know I shouldn’t be cycling, but I’m going to, I’m fairly positive I know how to train and eat decently… But I’m still miles away from actually reaching a plateau in the gym, buuuuuuuuut I’m still going to (insert comment about me being an irresponsible individual here). Probably going to use about 250mg/week, see where that gets me, if I can gain 5lbs that’d be very good in my book
I think there’s nothing wrong with using a resoable dosage of juice and doing a cycle especially given your history. If you don’t youll always wonder. @unreal24278
Define reasonable, original plan was 350mg but now cut back to 250 partially due to the fact that I don’t want to take any huge risk and secondly I think I’d grow just fine on 250mg, data suggests one can have measureable improvements in athletic performance, muscle mass and strength on merely 3.5mg/kg/wk of test within as little as six weeks. @physioLojik
@unreal24278 I would use 300mg a week for 10 weeks. That’s it and that’s all. Then assess.
As a side note - this is also in response to all the idiots who say “my gear must be fake”etc etc. chances are your gear isn’t fake. What the probablity is that they train and recover like a bitch.
I posted a question on your BEFORE thread then deleted. Please understand I have wicked anxiety issues, and for me to even reach out is a big step.
I would appreciate your input on some issues I am having. But be warned… I am bat shit crazy! Really!
If you are willing to offer insight I can start a thread and tag you. This is a long, drawn out affair, and out of courtesy won’t clog your thread with the details. I am just trying to find someone to point me in the right direction.
On a side note - I’ve been approached to write articles for another website. I’m actually shocked t nation has never approached me and instead lets a lot of random shit appear on their site
I’d follow articles written by you as well. You’re a very intelligent individual who has a plethora of interesting information to share, shame tnation hasn’t asked you to write for them. @physioLojik
Between that, re-treading old TNation articles as brand new, or writing ‘new’ articles almost directly plagiarizing previous work from other authors, I hardly read any of the articles anymore.
Also, I too am starting a cycle. Haven’t done a decent one in a while. Like I mentioned, I did a cycle of EQ and tbol a few months ago and didn’t see any results beyond what I normally get from tbol. That was why I made the comment about it possibly being underdosed - it was a new (to me) lab I was trying out, good prices but wasn’t especially impressed with the product. Someone mentioned that I may have been expecting too much, which is possible. I did 600mg/wk for 12(?) weeks, figured I would have seen something different. No more pumps than I normally get from tbol (which is usually very painful but this lab was less so), no massive hunger spike, nothing. Anyway, been off that for about three months now (been on TRT for a couple years, so essentially blast and cruise), did my first injection today. 700 mg/wk primo (14 weeks), and 400 mg/wk test (10 weeks - 1 vial). Primo - I know, I know. I’ve done a similar cycle before from the same UGL, and liked it. This time I’m bumping the test up to where I should be able to ‘feel’ it. Started primo today, will start test in two weeks, with same two week difference at the end as I come off and go back to TRT levels.
Sorry for the hijack. Curious if you’ve ever tried primo and what you thought of it.
