OH, hey Super. I missed ya there. thanks for the encouragement. Now that you wrote that, I feel like i need to hit the weights more. I’m glad you like the writing because I’m originally a F.O.B. so my english composition skillz are supposed to be subpar. Keep on bangin them weights and I shall do the same.
I guess today didn’t have a lot of volume but I’m happy with the workout nonetheless, probably cuz I’m that much closer to front squatting 315. Hopefully i’ll have time for more in the next couple of days. Thanks for reading.

Very dissapointed, but since this is a log, I must bear all results no matter how disappointing. Currently making a transition career-wise and I think there will be less and less time to devote to lifting. But, since i feel that it’s a integral part of proper functioning, both mind and body-wise, I hereby pledge to try my hardest to find time to lift or exercise. Thanks for keeping me in check, T-Nation.
Hey all, In light of the title of this thread, I may need to be doing some shutting up. I have not cut up at all, largely due to the fact that I’ve been busy starting up a career path that I feel may be a worthy investment of my time.
In spite, I have been working out, and plan to do a bit of an extreme, hermit-like regimen that will focus on two things and two things only: working out and advancing my knowledge of this job. It may sound a little insane if i write it down here so until it starts happening, the actual details of it will be kept in the dark, just so I don’t sound like an unaccountable pussy. Here was yesterday’s (Sunday’s) workout.
My workouts have been pretty spartan lately but volume is still there from the looks of it. You never really realize how much you actually do until you transcribe it onto a forum such as this. I am looking forward/not really looking forward to the next month or so and as always, I will keep you posted, my dear old log. Peace out T-Nation readers and happy lifting to all.
After a long day at work, I got to let some steam off at the gym but I think working in a cubicle all day is making me a big fucking pussy cuz I don’t have as much “drive” to push myself as hard as I used to. That’s something that I’ll be working on…motivation. Thinking back, I think that sprint workouts should be brought back, because that’s when the mental game got really tough.
When lungs and legs are burning is one of the times one can easily measure their amount of mental fortitude as well as increase it (if you do happen to keep pushing). it’s quick but definitely not painless to boot so they can easily fit into a busy schedule. Hit a PR in the gym today here’s what they looked like

hey everyone, happy holidays. i haven’t posted here for a while but i’ve been keeping the iron game up for the past two weeks or so. here are some highlights since I won’t try to recall the past two weeks worth of workouts.
deadlift
485x1 with no straps or belt.
power clean
245x1
…
ya, judging by these results, the iron game is a slow one, but people say it’s a marathon and not a sprint so i’ll take their wisdom to heart. I’m looking into powerlifting and I have my eye on the current state records. they seem doable within less than a year’s time and might be something that i’d be looking to take up…decisions. I’ll keep you T-Nationers informed. Until then…peace out
Hey all you T-Nationers out there. I’m back with this log for your enjoyment.
Some recent developments since I’ve last contributed.
500lbs deadlift, no straps.
335 front squat.
Pretty proud of myself. but the gym i go to is an effin buzzkill. They say “don’t drop weights” but how the hell am i going to make a quarter of a ton not sound like an effin quarter of a ton? anyways, enough of my ranting.
On the bad end…i’m getting fatter. Kind of loosing the progress I made during the past several months due to a combination of having a sedentary job and lacking the time to eat properly.
Just to get back into the groove of things, Here is today’s workout 3/18/2012.
CGBP
135x7x5
Squat
135x7x3
225x7x3
315x7x3
Front squats
225x5
225x7
Pullup & Dip combo
BW x 10 each x3
nothing too bad. working my way up to where i used to be. Shouldn’t take too long. I estimate about 2 solid weeks of lifting with a little sprinting thrown in there too. i’ve noticed that after a good sprint session, i’m much clearer in the head and more energetic. Hopefully i run across an explanation for this in the near future because i’d like to know why something so painful leads to happy results. anyway have a good evening ladies and gents and thanks for reading.
in keeping with the name of this log, I haven’t posted in a while now. i’ve been doing some involuntary bulking, and am now getting back into the grove of things. I am definitely stronger than i was when i first started this log. But i don’t look as good since the last time I posted regularly. Some highlights
ATG front squats
275x1x3
definitely doing a lot more front squats for no good reason except i became bored of the back squat.
One legged split squat
275x1 each leg
My grip strength has gone up to the point where I am able to crush the average mortal’s hand and leave it in a mangled and unusable state if need be. But since that time has not come yet, I’m using my grip for more mundane tasks like
dead lifting 495 without straps (or belt)
I’ve shied away from dead lifting because I end up causing a ruckus when i release the weight from the two vices attached to my arms.
My diet is slowly getting back to a controlled state. Starting a new job definitely tests your ability to keep control of what you eat due to time and the mere fact that comfort foods actually do just as they are named.
Today’s workout.
7 mins max incline on treadmill
back squat
135x10
225x14
315x11
315x10
Front squat holds

Front squat atg
225x5
135x7
treadmill 4 mins max incline.
ate a shit ton of chicken and carbs as my only meal for the day.
yay it’s effin late and i’m writing in this log. It must be love.
4/22/12
snatch grip deadlift…didn’t like these too well. maybe i will go heavy next time but i tried the hook grip and got a stinkin blood blister on my hand. And here I was thinking my hands were too knarled and calloused to sustain damage but i was wrong.
135x4
225x5
landmines/suitcase carry combo
45x7 each side/100x14 each side
45x7/100x14
55x7/100x14
Don’t remember the rest but it probably was pullups and push ups to the tune of
10xbw/14xbw repeated 3 xs
4/23/12
Close grip incline bench
135x7
135x7
225x3
225x2
225x2
225x2
225x1
Overhead press/pullup
135x7/BWx10 repeat 4 times.
60 meter sprints
7 total sprints
ate lots of fatty beefy goodness and chicken today. handful of carbs after workout.
my body is slowly changing again and i’m liking the quick progress back to where i was several months ago.
And I’m Feeling good, there is definitely a mental change when you change your diet, it must be the amount of fats that are contributing to my brain functioning by insulating the connections more or something like that.
it was raining today so i did some low impact cardio for 7 mins to get warmed up that consisted of walking on a treadmill at the highest incline setting.
