That’s some nice work. And I love the nick names. Is an 18in box parallel for you? Just wondering. 16in is parallel for me. I use an empty paint bucket for a box. I’m hoping my back continues to feel better, I’d like to add box squats back in before summer. We’ll see.[/quote]

Very nearly. I couldn’t believe how close to parallel 18" was for me, but it’s about an inch or two above.

You might look good in high heels. Never know 'til you try…

I officially hate you for this. 14 inch boxs are too high for me due to hip/thigh/shin ratio.

Nice work, lots of volume.
I am always impressed by the brawny albino.

I think its a mechanics thing… the box squat.
I did a 365 double a month or so ago in a regular squat and it near killed me
and walking out anything past 450 makes me crumple.

Yet Sept I did a 405 box squat to like a 13 or 14 inch box- being a midget does have advantages,
I want to add those back in - next month.

They do kill my hips though.

now here is some strange stuff about limb weirdness

I am pretty much ambidextrous and should probably be a lefty.
I can write, use tools etc with both.
Wrestling and Judo was able to capitalize and use left and right limbs equally-
and let me switch things up all the time.

Here is the weird shit.
Right arm and leg are ‘dominant’ in that they are bigger , stronger but the is the side of my neck and shoulders that work the least and have the most damage and compression.
Left leg is weaker and noticeably smaller that side hips is always tight.

135x8
185x5
205x5
225x4
245x3
265x1 (very hard - disappointing)
245x5 (seems to be a sharp cutoff as to how much weight I can handle today)

Incline DB Flyes
35s 10x2 sets

Upright rows (wide grip)
115 8x2 sets

Front Raises
75 8x2

Front Raises to overhead
65x5,8 (used a teeny bit of swing on second set)

BB Lunges
135x5
185x5

Weird day. I felt as though I were strong, but I couldn’t deliver that last bit of oomph to the bar. All poundages down about 10%.

Weight is down to 183. I haven’t been paying attention to eating again.

Pete, don’t envy me. I’m a stork and it’s likely I’ll always have a stork’s squatting ability.

damn, skinny, that’s 20 lbs. wish I could just accidentaly drop 20 lbs.

Dr lardass prescribes a half gallon of ice cream and 2 pounds of meat STAT.

whoops - need to check what my fingers are doing. That should be 193.

Those are still some nasty munges regardless of weight loss.

Huge floor presses and lunges Tony… Damn nice work

Great work, Tony. Front raises and lunges look like a killer.
Oh…and what I would give to be able to drop weight like you do.

Tony?

Well, let’s see. He either could be:

  1. Pinned to the floor by a snatch-gone-wrong; or

  2. The coffee, cigarettes and high heels finally did him in.

I’m betting it was the snatch that got him.

What’s scary is that both options seem equally viable

Jeez - a guy goes on a trip for a bit and you have me dead under a lift…or something.

I’m in Chicago visiting family. No time for training, but the company makes it well worth it. I’ll be posting regularly again soon.

Thanks for thinking of me. Warms the cockles of my heart.

And no - I don’t know what cockles are - only that they can be warmed.

And that your heart has some.

Enjoy the trip.

Enjoy the trip and family, if you get a chance to get out for a dinner I really enjoy The Chop House in Chicago. Great steaks, great service, making me hungry just thinking about it.
