That wasn’t a comeback, that was my way of telling you that I think you are being ignorant and racist.

Well I seem to remember that you were the one who mentioned the guy’s appearance in the first place.

I think it’s pretty obvious that his emaciated look is the result of his living conditions rather than a lifestyle choice.

I never said anything other than the fact that the guy looked starving and you accused me of being “ignorant and racist” based on that.

I think that says more about your prejudices and ignorance than mine.

Here’s the filename of the photo: 77026-Bushman. Bushman…that might give you a clue as to where the guy is from. Or do you think that is just his surname?

You passed judgement on a man by looking at a pictre of him standing in a field. Not every skinny black man in Africa is starving to death.

Here you go again, making things up and attempting to pass them off as something I’ve said.

Where did I say that he was “starving to death”? I said that he looked starving, in the sense that he appeared to be deprived of food. That is a perfectly reasonable observation to make.
You’re the one who claimed that I was judging the guy on his race and lack of clothing. You might have had a point if I had actually said that, but I didn’t.
I haven’t made any racist comments in this thread. That is just your assumption and says more about your views than mine.

It looks like you are arguing for the sake of it, so let me spell it out for you.

Here is the website where slimthugger got the photo from:

www.poltour.co.za/Pages/main_frame5.htm

It is the third picture down. Notice how the man in the picture is - suprise, suprise! - an African bushman.

So according to your line of thinking, it is appropriate to label me as ignorant and racist because I can identify an African bushman when I see one. How is that “passing judgement”?

You really need to quit while you’re behind, because you really seem to be struggling on what you are trying to say.

According to you, that dude in the photo could be some anonymous everyman enjoying a barbecue in his backyard on a sunny day.
You might want to take a long, hard look at yourself before you decide that I’m the ignorant one here…
LOL

I like this guy.

That’s on old photo. He’s like, totally yoked now.

Dirty bulk FTW.

Lighten up folks.

I don’t understand all the outrage. I mean the guy is pretty old, not obese, standing on his own two feet – seems pretty healthy to me, especially in comparison to the average American over the age of 50 which is, I think, the op’s point. So did I miss something?
roybot wrote:

Healthy? Clean diet? The poor guy probably never eats.
Never eating may lead to one “starving to death”.
roybot wrote:
That doesn’t look like any backyard I’ve ever seen.

If yours looks like that, you might want to take a little more care of it, instead of wasting time posting lame comebacks on the internet.
Here is an example of you being extremely ethnocentric.

It is appropriate to label you as ignorant and racist because you seem to not respect the fact that there are people out there that live perfectly normal lives that differ tremendously from yours.

See, the key word here is “probably”. You really need to brush up on your comprehension skills, hotshot. That still doesn’t make me a racist.
It only proves that you can’t read and assimilate sentences properly without arriving at wild assumptions.

How the heck does that make me ethnocentric? You’re the one that tried to say the dude in the photo was in his backyard, not me.
You said that it could be a common backyard: I responded by saying that if your backyard looks like that, then you need to take better care of it. There was no reference to race. IT’S ALL IN YOUR HEAD!!! You really are getting desperate now.

“Your bike went missing? A black guy probably stole it.”

“You lost your job? They probably hired one of those illegal immigrants from Mexico.”

See what you did there? You made the assumption that he “probably” never eats. What did you have to base that off of?

Racism and stereotypes are based on these “probably” statements.

Why don’t you haul your dumb ass back up the page to Yo Momma’s post and read about the plight of African bushmen before you spout any more shit about ‘perfectly normal lives’.
roybot wrote:

Simple: If my backyard doesn’t look like yours I should do something about it.

You’re probably the first person in the history of the world that can make a direct link between racism and the state of someone’s backyard. Congratulations! That’s quite an achievment.

I think we’ve already established that it isn’t his backyard - it’s the African bush. That’s the point I’ve been making all along, but these apparently simple facts are still going over your head.

Tell me - do you proofread what you type before you submit it? You might want to get a grown up to do that for you.

Seriously, were you dropped on your head as a child? These are quite possibly some of the most retarded counter arguments I’ve ever had the misfortune to read. I think my eyes are starting to bleed.

I’m not the one bringing up these stereotypes, you are. C’mon admit it, you’re really Nominal Prospect aren’t you? The writing style is unmistakable. This must be your ‘supplement account’.

I thought I was on your ignore list. Glad I made an impression blushes.

I can’t believe there’s another human being roaming this planet just as deluded as him (I mean, you can’t both rule the planet).
Maybe you’re twins: tweedledumb and tweedledumber?

I based the ‘assumption’ on the very real fact that he and his people were persecuted, tortured and killed by their own government. I can’t really see them getting much food under those circumstances.

Please try doing some basic research on the subject being discussed before commenting on it.

Oops, you got me! There I go again with the stereotypes.

I’d like to get out of this before you tell me that your dad can beat up my dad.

If you want to PM me so I can explain myself further to you feel free, but please only do so if you can get over yourself, if only temporarily.

I don’t know where you get the impression that I’m being threatening here.

You let loose with a flurry of unfounded accusations of racism against me,each more outrageous than the next, and I defended myself against them. That is all.
The fact is, all my so-called ‘assumptions’ regarding the man in the photo were proven correct and there is evidence to back this up.

How that can be construed as 'racist’or ‘ethnocentric’
is beyond me. I’m not the one making a mockery of the man in the photo.

Try pointing the finger at the guy that started this thread. It might be a good place to start.

Strange how nobody else has called me out on my apparently ‘racist’ behaviour…

It’s because we’re all afraid of you now. :stuck_out_tongue:

I promise I’ll be good from now on. I’m still recovering from my first encounter with Nominal Prospect. Have a heart, he’s enough to bring out the worst in anyone!

NP does represent the worst.

And I click on this, thinking that it’ll be a justification for not doing direct ab work. I hate direct ab work.

If “stupid” were a nutrient on the FDA list, I have now consumed 9000% of my RDA by reading this post. I think we all have, actually. Stupid is fat soluble too…like Iron or Vitamin A. Can’t just piss it out…it lingers around for awhile.
