Croatia qualified for next years world cup and in the celebrations one of the players led the crowd in a celebratory “salute”.
Simunic yells to the crowd “Za Dom” (for homeland), and the crowd responds “Spremni” (ready).
Been of Croat descent, I interpreted the celebrations as an act of patriotism. I suppose I can compare it you guys singing “U-S-A, all the way!”
Anyway, the political correctness brigade have come out and have linked the salute to nazis.

On the face of it, it’s bullshit. They’re just words, after all, and seemingly innocuous ones at that.
Then again, some words have uncomfortable associations, and eyebrows would definitely be raised if the German fans celebrated their victory with a lusty chant of “Sieg heil!” (“hail victory!”), or the Japanese fans started chanting “tenno heika banzai!” (“may the emperor live ten thousand years!”).
Still, I think people are overly sensitive. At some point, just as people in Europe stopped being terrified of the specter of Napoleon, they will hopefully stop being terrified of the ghosts of the Third Reich.

No one should have anything to celebrate except Diversity, and only if it is an approved form of diversity, done in a properly controlled manner.
AND they had to beat someone to do it! Beat them! Oh, the violence of it. How can you have an organized society with a bunch of soccer thugs running around beating people and celebrating their nationalism?
