Creepy Public Transportation Passengers!

http://hollabacknyc.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html

There are more on the side links as well.

Good god i didnt realize that it was on regular trains too! That shit is so disturbing.

I used to live in Manhattan and taking the subway was by far the WORST when it came to pervs.

A friend of mine was on a crowded train and some drunk bastard grabbed her ass hard and then pulled away because he thought that she wouldnt know who it was in such a crowded place.

Long story short, she’s a fiery sicilian, and she kicked him in the nuts and punched him in the face, and people laughed. But no one helped. I think half of that shit happens because of peoples cowardice.

I had to shove some faggot guy away from a random girl before because he was getting in her face on the D train as well.

This is unrelated, but once on the way back from queens, there was this fat santa claus looking homeless guy, sitting drunk in a pile of his own diahorreah. he kept smiling AND SHITTING ALL OVER THE CAR.

This is why I hate public transportation.

Agreed, i don’t like public transportation for that reason as well. One example, i am in a college town, unless you pay for a parking pass you’re not supposed to park on campus. For the football games, i take the bus. The very first time i did this, when the first bus rolled to the stop, the bus driver wouldn’t let us on, this drunk guy finally appears crawling/stumbling out of the bus with puke stains all over himself. He proceeded that way down the street. Needless to say i waited for the next bus.

That was my welcome to college moment.

At least things aren’t as bad in NY as they are in Tokyo. Over there the Yamanote line has areas of the platforms painted pink, in front of which the ‘women only’ carriages stop during rush hour. This is to prevent the pervasive mania of sekuhara (sexual harassment) which takes place on crowded carriages.

Apparently high school kids now take advantage of the situation by running scams in which they accuse well dressed business men of touching their female classmates on the subway. They ask the guys to pay up or face being turned in to the police.

It seems like the Japanese saying “the nail that sticks out, get hammered down” stops people from coming forward and making a scene when shit like this happens.

Oh god dude, college was a mess.

I guess I didn’t like it as much because I wasn’t a “normal” broski that wanted to party party party, etc.

Another oh shit moment on public transportation was on the TRAM that connects manhattan to roosevelt island:

The tram is packed with like 30 people, were floating above the east river, and on the queensborough bridge, a u-haul truck catches fire, and everyone just watches. I was the ONLY PERSON to call 911 and report it.

Easpecially after 9/11, the first thing you think of when you see a truck on fire, on a bridge nonetheless, is “someones trying to blow shit up again.”

I even had this fat bitch on the Team ask me why i called 911!

WTF?! I hate dopey manhattanite lemmings.

This is what happens when you can’t own a gun. Theres no fear in criminals minds.

Ugh,New Yorkers and their apathetic nature. Pisses me off. I remember visitng my sister last summer and we were getting down to the L-Train and when we got down we smelled the foulest, smelliest shit ever. As we were walking down the stairs we saw this old, homeless man squatting down and taking a shit. Can you imagine just witnessing something so disgusting in front of your very eyes? Nobody even said anything! Nobody did a damn thing. I looked at my sister and she knew what I was thinking. She told me “No,its ok. We’ll just walk the other way…” Ugh. There is like 5 police officers every block and they couldnt do anything about that?

last year i was taking public transit around the holidays when it was jam packed, and there was this asian woman who had tons of period blood all over her grey sweatpants on her crotch, ass, and thighs. people were telling her but she didnt seem to care…wtff? if i had a hangover i would have puked.

i also hate public transportation.

Nope, this is what happens when you have a an over-zealous prosecution of every sexual harrasment case and a population that is afraid or unwilling to stand witness or interfere in any kind of situation.

There are many countries where you can’t have guns and the criminals still can’t just run free.
Not to turn this into a discussion of the wisdom behind the legeality of owning a gun, but saying that gun ownership is the ultimate deterrent from criminal activity, which is what your argument sounds like, isn’t true.

Hell, I remember in a other thread about no one stepping in when someone is fighting or robbing, an argument from many, was that people were probably afraid of getting shot. This came from people who live in places were gun ownership is legal. That creates the argument that legalizing guns just as easily gives the criminals an edge.

But you will anyway…

My disclaimer carries the same value as a “All-Natural!” label on a Tootsie Pop.

I know right, what’s with all these people shitting themselves? I had a similar experience getting the PATH from Jersey to NY. As I walked out of the carriage in NY I noticed that people coming from the opposite direction gagging and waving their hands in front of their faces.

As I carried on walking the smell hit me. It smelled like a rotten, horse abortion clinic.
As I walked around the corner towards the exit stairs I saw an old homeless dude with torn pants shuffling around, shaking his head. Two NYPD officers tried to coax him outside.
This was done by saying “Come on outside. You’ve dropped your cookies haven’t you? You’ve gone and dropped them”. The old man kept shaking his head. Some primal denial instinct controlling his actions.

He had definitely dropped his cookies.

On my way home, 3 hours later, the old dude was gone. The smell wasn’t.

I respectfully disagree. Japan has VERY restricted gun laws, and sex crimes are rampant there as compared to here. Obviously, strict laws on sex crimes would be paramount to owning a gun, but a gun is the next best thing.

Ah that also reminds me of the time i came back to my NY apartment at 3 AM in manhattan.

I walked down broadway to catch the subway, but while i was on the surface, a guy who must’ve been stoned out of his mind put 4 quarters in a newspaper machine, and proceeded to piss in it.

Could’ve pissed in an alleyway for free, but a dollar to pee in the privacy of a NY TIMES machine must sound like a good deal when you’re fucked up.
