I’ve seen people say it’s a very dense carb source. Went to try it out, added water and cooked like box said and it seemed to really increase in volume. Didn’t seem very calorie/carb dense.
I saw John Meadows mention eating it dry but cooked. Is this different then what the box has for directions? Pretty dumb question, but I’m struggling now to get myself to eat more calories and found this as an option.
Not sure what the box says because I’ve always just ground up my own rice and used that. Try using milk to keep volume but add calories.
Put a banana in it if you want some added carbs and something with nutrients. Put a ton of jam in it if you just want sugar and flavor. Five scoops of peanut butter if you want to be a fat fuck.
On the other hand if you wanna cut the calories and not the flavor some Splenda and 100% cocoa (non-sweetened cocoa is very low calorie) works great as well.
Get creative! It’s a great concoction for people who love hot cereals.

I use it as my main carb source, I just do not cook it but mix the “powder” directly into my protein shakes. Very caloricaly dense.
