Crashed E2 Again possibly

Crashed Estrogen

So I crashed my estrogen back in February, I was self prescribing 250 mg of test C followed by 1 mg of anastrozole every five days I know it was stupid. I was doing that for about a month and then I started getting terrible insomnia and I couldn’t breathe and I was dry. Hair was falling out. It was terrible so the clinic where I got my bloods done advised to stop the anastrozole. I also dropped my dose back down to 100 mg of test twice a week (which was my old protocol at a clinic) I did that for a month and then my estrogen shot back up. I then went to the clinic to get set up on their protocol so I can get balanced out again. Even though my estrogen bounced back up, I was still feeling pretty terrible and lack of sleep. They prescribed 100 mg of test C twice a week followed by .5 mg of anastrozole 24 hours after each shot totaling 1 mg of anastrozole a week. I was feeling good at week two of this protocol then week three I started to feel like I was crashing again. My sleep went to shit and now I have a hard time breathing when I’m falling asleep. Best way to describe it is my body forgets to breathe when I’m starting to doze off so I wake back up again and it’s just a constant loop. I will also have this random lung pressure or fullness when breathing during the day. I’m not sure if it is anxiety or if my hormones are all out of whack? Has anyone else been through this? Is this normal? Is this anxiety or is there something else? attached is the bloodwork. I get my blood work done on Thursday next week so we will see what the labs read then and I will post them here in case anybody else out there is going through something similar.

lol come on man . You basically said it yourself .. too much AI. Just stop taking it. You most likely don’t need it on that trt dose anyways . And you’re supposed to throw in an AI when you start to notice issues with estrogen , not just automatically. Jesus

My thing is, when I was with a previous clinic for two years I was on 100mg twice a week and 1mg of anastrozole once a week for over a year and I was fine. I’ve stopped the AI again, just sucks going through this again. I appreciate your input though, I’ve done it before I can do it again I guess.

Not every time you switch your dosage will be same outcome and same AI dosage . Lots of people feel great with no AI on trt. Depends how much test you take . Myself I can take 800 mgs of prescribed test and take no AI . No issues . So my opinion would be forget the AI and have some just in case you have high estrogen issues .

weird thing about taking hormones for years, or cycling for years, what worked 15 years ago may not work now, or vice versa. why? dunno really. maybe our biology changes from the hormone use? or it’s just aging? but you gotta get away from this ‘but two years ago I was fine’ shit and realize that doesn’t matter anymore. what matters is how you feel TODAY, and today you’re taking too much AI. your labs looked fine without it, if I was reading them correctly.

good luck

I appreciate it, I was just following the protocol that was given to me, but clearly it is not working. When my estrogen did bounce back up, I still felt pretty bad. There was a point with the new protocol where I felt like myself again after about week one I wasn’t sure if maybe my estrogen dropped into a good range but then week three I started feeling Low E2 sides again.

yeah that makes sense. bummer so many doctors and TRT clinics don’t know what they are doing. makes it tough

It’s very true man I’m in Colorado and I swear there’s always a clinic that pops Up every month. The clinics here are very attentive when you are looking to start with them, but once you are experiencing any side effects, they’re quick to put you on the back burner.

I grew up in CO, highlands ranch, went to college in boulder. I miss it.

that is for sure. even then when they sign up thousands of clinics it becomes just about “pill pushing” rather than actual “treatment”.
