I’m looking to sell my truck on Craigslist. I’ve never used it, but I know it’s been discussed here. Can anyone give me some advice?

Thanks for that, but I was actually thinking more along the lines of avoiding scammers, getting the most for it, etc…

Like DOHCrazy said, meet them in a public place. I say meet them in a place really close to your house or work so you’re not very inconvenienced when you get ridiculous lowball offers. I’m not sure what the best way of doing financial transactions are nowadays. I’d definitely keep away from checks of any sort unless maybe it’s a bank cashier’s check and you see it cut at the bank with your own eyes…but in that case you might as well insist that they wire the money to your account. Wiring is the method I’d prefer, but I never hear about that being done these days.

sold my car through Craigslist.
guy came and looked at it, at my house.
he offered to give me money orders first time he stopped by, and while he seemed honest, I was only going to deal in cash or check (once it cleared).
he came back a few days later with cash.
be sure to take good pics. I think you can have up to 4 images, maybe more.
