Hindus drink and alcohol is widely sold in India. Dead cow on the other hand is not.

Back on topic, the crown pointed out that Cifci’s crimes were:

‘extremely serious and violent and carried a maximum jail sentence of 20 years.’

The Magistrate agreed adding:

‘The prosecution case at this stage would appear to be a strong one’

This leaves one somewhat confused as to why the magistrate then released this guy on bail.
