Court Rolls Back Campaign Spending Limits

Thank Gawd for Dhickey and Orion for bringing a little sanity to the thread.

What exactly are you people afraid of?

A big bad corporation might spend some of it’s evil profits on airtime for a particular candidate?
And then of course all the stupid voters will march out and vote like zombies?

Jesus, pull it together people. A corporation is just a group of PEOPLE with similar interests. Their ability to contribute, either directly or indirectly to any given candidate has no effect on my vote one way or the other. And I bet you would all say the same for yourselves, right? It’s always just “everyone else” who is too dumb to think for themselves, and they will naturally be swayed by all them big bucks floating around, right?

The kneejerk “corporations = EEEEEVIL” vibe is so thick I thought I had walked in on an Obama staff meeting.

I said it before, I’ll say it again. This changes nothing.

If you want corruption gone, don’t take away the ability to bribe, take away to power of the bribed.
