I’m nervous about my Chargers. They’re talented as all hell but Norv Turner can seriously make or completely break that team. I’m excited though.
Giving Norv Turner that team is like a father giving his drunken teenage son keys to a Ferrari- no good can come of it.
I think Steely McBeam is a T-Man. Flannel shirt, strong beard stubble covering a strong jaw, and he attends football games and works the Pittsburgh steel mills. Man’s man. All he has to do now is make cat calls to the cheerleaders. The yellow is kinda trippy though.

I’ve always thought Thomas Jones has been a cool guy.
He is with the NY Jets this year I believe.

Yeah he’s with the Jets this year. When my girlfriend and I would watch the Bears games last year we would tend to make the joke that T. Jones’ biceps just ran for a ______ yard gain. The dude has got tree trunk arms.

Steely McBeam is your screen name.

Sounds like a porn star to me.
Just thicken’ the mustache out and grow a little more gut
Travis Henry is going to have a monster year in denver this year. This will give Jay “the Cannon” Cutler enough time to make huge plays down the field to Javon Walker. Meanwhile One of the fastest defensive units adds some real size to the D-Line and we are in for some brutal beatings. I think he Chargers are going to get shocked this year and after sweeping my boys last year they will feel the wrath of the broom.

Steeler Fans, wherever you are:
What’s your thoughts on the new coach?
Which Willie Parker will show up?
What about Big Ben? Is he a 5 or a 10?

I think Tomlin is the right man for the job. I may feel differently two months from now, but I doubt it. I don’t really like his choices for position coaches. All of them seem to be coaches from bad eras of bad teams, which generally signifies that they aren’t good coaches. Seeing as how position coaches are largely responsible for young player development, I don’t think that bodes too well for the future of the franchise. But, I could be wrong, and I hope I am.
Which Willie Parker? You mean the one that rushed for 1500 yards last year or the one that rushed for 1200 yards in '05 while averaging 5.8 YPC? I don’t think anyone can really question his production at this point. Yes, he has been shut down at times, but in those games the entire team was shut down. I think Willie will be even better this year than last. He should be a first round fantasy pick. If LT, Steven Jackson, and Frank Gore are taken, I’d look real hard at Willie. Look for 1600+ yds and 15+ TDs.
I put Ben at a 7.5. Last year was a real setback for his development. In the past three years, he has shown potential for greatness, but also inconsistency. I expect he will rebound from last year and put up about 3000 yd, 18+ TD, and <12 INT for the year. If he throws less than 15 INTs this year (assuming he plays all 16 games), the Steelers will make the playoffs.
‘But the Raven still beguiling all my fancy into smiling,
Straight I wheeled a cushioned seat in front of bird, and bust, and door;
Then upon the velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking
Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous bird of yore–What this grim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt and ominous bird of yore
Meant in croaking ‘Nevermore.’’
– The Baltimore Raven by Edgar Allan Poe
Whatever you do, please don’t take Fantasy Football too seriously.

Broncos will take it all the way this year.

Vegita I too like the Broncos, and this just in…
Travis Henry better have a monster year than his one ‘eye monster’ as he has nine children from nine different women in four different states throughout the South, and has been ordered to establish a $250,000 fund to cover a new $3000/month child support payment thanks to a history of frivolous spending.
This guy is gonna make Shawn Kemp look like father of the year. ‘[Judge Clarence] Seeliger wrote that the football player displayed “bad judgment in his spending habits,” dropping $100,000 for a car and $146,000 for jewelry. Meanwhile, Henry fell behind on support payments for his child with Beacham that were mandated by a previous order. Threatened with jail, he borrowed $9,800 from his former team, the Tennessee Titans, to pay the bill. according to court records.’
Sigh, after coming off another summer of Royals baseball, I now must suffer thru a 4-12 season of Chiefs football. I’m a Husker fan too, maybe that guy will fall of his skateboard again and give me some excitement.
