Or breaking character now and again. His internet persona, assuming it’s not how he is in real life (I hope not), is like someone on the spectrum. No sense of humor or self deprecation and a lack of social awareness. He has no ability to read the room.
Yeah, well Sir Paul is a dork. You could replace him with an armless manequin that has a bass guitar hung around its neck and nobody would ever know the difference.
But that analogy was build on a solid foundation, tightly constructed, and delivered on time.
Contrast this with the next part you just said. I will answer your question below
I didn’t know his age and wasn’t saying anything definitive of his intellect or lack thereof
As you’ve noted, the natural tendency is for a human to further mature in time. I am answering your “why” question below, by going back to the original comment I was referring too
I also push for a (more) perfect world in which human nature changes (as it naturally does in time). I’m just maybe a little less pushy and a little more intelligent…
I actually suspect you have this in common with me, just less pushy and maybe more intelligent
Of course I can be wrong
The Earth is not a perfect sphere and some places do have a slightly different gravitational pull, but yeah advocating for a greatly reduced gravitational pull would be silly.
Logically your comment makes perfect sense
I have chosen to bend myself so as to see and reflect things in a different light, for religious reasons
You almost said nothing, but if you wouldn’t mind me modifying the statement in either one of two ways, I could help you come even closer
If we always condemn the things that God condemns and always laud the things that God lauds, then we are always judging rightly.
If we condemn the things that God condemns and laud the things that God lauds, then we (have at least once) judged rightly.
Your original statement started with an if and ended with an always
Your original statement is a little like saying if anyone ever hits the bullseye, then they can never miss again
I recommend putting in a bit more effort than that, but I understand the costs of longwindedness
You say your statement is a problem for me, not only that it could be a problem for me
Then your statement immediately starts with an if
I believe therein should lie your problem
I have not equated the two, but that was a good catch. The least risky way I have found is not to equate the two but to not really notice much of a difference. When one or other difference is noted and unavoidable, to not dwell on it, etc.
There is a difference between equating two things vs not focusing on their (alleged) difference(s)
Think about it like this - which part of the statement do you not understand?
I can appreciate the kindness in you asking for more clarity in the underlying logic behind my reaching that conclusion - but
Are you seriously telling me you cannot understand the conclusion you’ve quoted - itself?
The statement that you quoted was itself clear and concise - even if I rarely am. I can take all of the blame for your confusion - but that might make it worse - so you go ahead and give me whatever seems best to/for yourself
